New Mexico has a great Democratic Governor, 2 Democratic Senators, and 2 Democratic Representatives. We are not a red state!

Few are these days honestly! Texas gets bluer each year, stereotypes be damned.

Yes but mainly in Texas population centers. Those jack rabbits and armadillos have a bigger say in the State legislature than the human residents.

I believe TX will go blue. There was massive support for Beto ORourke. They’ll get there!

I agree Betty, maybe the Professor ran out of blue ink (:-)

All 3 of our representatives are Democrats, making NM solidly blue!

In my area of Virginia, the local election to determine who controls the school board is the most important. The right wing is pushing hard to seize control and push their agenda!

I hope you get good results!

Unfortunately, no. Dammit! In September, the Amherst County school board rejected Gov. Youngkin's Anti-Transgenderism school policy. Ginger Burg was a driving force in rejecting the policy. David Childress, running for Ginger Burg's school board seat, was strongly in favor of Gov. Youngkin's policy. He won, she lost! This shifts the board in favor of the right wing folks.

😟 Sorry to hear that! Ugh!

The good news is, states rejected the Nutty Mother’s club banning books and intimidating teachers & librarians! Ohio enshrined abortion rights in state Constitution! Yay! We WILL finish these people off in the presidential election! We must.

That doesn’t stop the republiCon Fascists from trying to go against the will of the majority in Ohio.

Unfortunately in our district they took it. I was so upset.

10:42 pm. Ohio update.

Abortion rights preserved. 🎉

Like to think all those stacks of postcards I wrote and mailed helped.

On public power. . .

Nebraska (population ~2 million) has 100% public power though its public power districts. Came about in the 1930s. There is a whole story on this involving a U.S. Senator from Nebraska, George W. Norris. He was also very involved in the creation of the Tennessee Valley Authority.

The models are there and they work.

I wiil be a long night, as usual. MSNBC's Steve Kornacki is the one to keep you up to the minute.

Steve Kornacki is incredible! By far the best data analyst of all the cable networks and TV channels. He gets so excited about whatever race he is discussing! He loves his job!

Is Gov. Youngkin, Mr Reasonable with his oh my gosh so moderate 15 week abortion on the VA ballot, going to pull his wool vest over the eyes of the voters ? We're about to find out.

Trying to keep track of all the various races across the country is a bit daunting. The balance of power is what's at stake. There are far too many election deniers out there to suit me. It's almost as if they want October 31st to last all year. Some people enjoy pretending to be who they really aren't. They're boosting Trump's ego by playing his pathetic game of denial. How could we allow one sick individual to infect an entire nation with a case of idiocy. I guess they find favor in living a lie instead of attempting to understand the truth.

Luckily for me, we really had no races here in deep blue Erie County, New York! With that no-name insurrectionist that ran for govenor last election gone, I think we can breath a sigh of relief for now.

Regardless of who wins, the outcome won't resolve the Biden vs. Trump issue. Neither one of these old men can physically and mentally survive our stupid campaigning mania. Five weeks is possible, ten months is death or disability.

Uncle Joe doesn’t waste energy, and rides his bike. I say he’ll survive and thrive.
