Jamie, I think the reason the Trumpers and Trumpettes are not moved to leave the jerk is that their media show only Trump's parts of speeches that almost make sense. They talk only of policies that people who feel put upon will think are great: keeping out immigrants, stopping unions from invading their companies and forcing layoffs, having international relations that just must be causing prices to go up, and the other nonsense spew by the right-wing media sources which are hardly even addressed by "mainstream" media which of course are also owned by rich mostly white men who want their cut of the Trump experience and will do what they must, to get it.
If you stick to benefits and show them what they lost or could regain, they get the idea.
Avoid being combative. Do not utter the word, "Trump."
E.G. Grandparents with many grandkids who qualified for the child tax credit of $300 per child per month lost because Republicans let it lapse. Not only the grandparents but their kids had an epiphany.
Oooh! I wish I knew people I could try that on. I completely agree with avoiding the T word and any combative approach. Epiphany is powerful!
I have had experiences where a fact or two can awaken someoneтАЩs thought process. (тАЬX trillion dollars is a lot of money!тАЭ тАЬ It is. ThatтАЩs over 10 years.тАЭ тАЬI didnтАЩt know that.тАЭ тАЬ The defense budget is Y, but that is for one year. Times ten it is. . .тАЭ
Forget them. Focus on people who donтАЩt know much about Trump but like him anyway. Lately he and Stephen Miller have been open about what they will do. Hitler would be flattered that his ideas resonate with Republicans today.
They probably would LOVE to bring back actual, REAL brick and mortar, Debtor's Prisons, like those which existed in the early to mid-19th Century here.
That way they also help out their beloved privatized prison 'industry' as well, the low life scum that they are.
Face to face, they wilt like yesterday's onions.
90% of Trump voters were screwed by his "tax cuts."
Do they know it though??
Nope! They think they benefited. Trump can do no wrong in their eyes.

If you don't speak about Trump, you have an opening.
Not Trump specifically, just the effects of his deeds and future plans, you mean?

Take an inventory. Ask them point blank about their benefits. Many leave money on the table.
cult followers don't need facts.

So true. They are blind to the truth.
Have to talk benefits.
Most vulnerable at bankruptcy court, at medical offices, when seeking governmental benefits.
