Putin wants to be in charge of everything and everyone and can't bear to have Trump calling any shots because Putey is a total jerk and knows just what Trump is too. Trump and Putin both are easily flattered but Putin has bamboozled an entire country and some of its neighbors, well, North Korea's Kim too, while Trump has only bamboozled less than half of America. Apache, yes, it is true there are some, a very few cultures where women have actual authority, but even in those cultures, men often have to be placated with wars and other events to keep them from doing harm within their groups. In the US, I am guessing it is not enough to have violent sports and men in charge of nearly everything; they will never be satisfied, now want to crush anyone who does not "love" them under their boot heel, and they are doing a pretty good job of it. It must be the testosterone or some other male hormone that keeps violence foremost in the minds of so many. There are some among Trump's "picks" for various offices who would like to get women out of the military. They don't like Black Americans or anyone but white men being in charge of anything either. When someone as appalling as Trump is elected twice, we know we are in trouble. I don't know how we get out of this insanity without destruction. I am hoping someone comes up with a way.

Apache, it seems young males do have lower testosterone levels, but their aggression does not seem to have stopped. I tutor in a middle school and any, even slight comment can get a stupid fight started. Girls are getting into the act too, but it is very many more boys. So many of the boys don't really care about learning or doing anything that could help them to develop skills, acquire knowledge, or have a brighter future. There are a few, but not nearly enough. I tutor in a disadvantaged district, but our teachers are excellent and the curriculum is pretty broad. I, and the teachers are trying to figure out how to reach the children, particularly the boys, but alas, have only some success. I had 3 of my 8 boys tell me they would have voted for Trump. When I asked why, they said something like "because he's strong." However, they couldn't admit why they wouldn't have voted for Harris. I asked if it was because she is a woman and one said, "well maybe." The others didn't have any answer. The remainder of the 8 didn't care about the election at all, or that is what they said. I was surprised because they are all Black males. That was disturbing. I am guessing they really only do want a man as president or they simply don't think of it at all, just named Trump because they had heard of him more.

Apache, I am just their tutor. I don't know any of the families of the children. When I was teaching, I knew all my families. Some had significant challenges, but many were getting by. I don't know about the one in three Black males being convicted, but if that is true, I bet most of those convictions were for insignificant acts that white boys would have gotten away with handily. My students are good kids, just struggling with learning. Because reading and math are hard for them, they steer away from both subjects. Their teachers and I are working hard to find a way to help them understand how their brains work and things they can do to either retrain their brain or to use different strategies to acquire the knowledge, then to believe that knowledge is worth having. I'm hoping we all, including the kids, are successful.
