I agree with your reforms. Wish Dems were listening.

Sorry folks. The ONLY way to change SCOTUS's radical right wing makeup is at the ballot box. DO NOT vote for incumbents which are, and will continue to screw us every which way by taking corporate bribes, so called campaign" donations, and doing such things as "insider" stock buying and trading.

The solution is simple. Constitutional Convention. It would fix a lot of things.

And honestly what helps me/each of us to “soldier/carry on would be the “rest of us.” I get such inspiration & additional “puffs of wind in my sails” by coming onto the Daily Kos platform, reading the comments, responding to some of those comments, and enjoying the wisdom of the responses that come back to me from those whom I contacted, acknowledged & “saluted.” It is generally the case as the saying goes that cliches become one to the degree to which they are true. And remember as well that the degree to which they’re true is also a predictor of whether or not they will become something to which the Right points with glee and chortles ... all the while “spreading the meme” further out there into the Ether like Milkweed upon a soft breeze. And that’s actually a pretty good analogy because when when I come upon a particularly elegant, lovely & true comment/analogy .... it does feel as though a “plume” of “milkweed" landed softly upon the shoulder of my cashmere pullover. And I know that I”m going to enjoy “reading the message it carries” and get another little shot of “Hope.” Hugs to my Fellow Travelers ...

Get a life! Sorry loser who’s wrong more than right. Leave the court as-is since all federal judges take an Oath and sign a code of conduct ( according) to you.

And we don’t know what she knew about what might have been pending in the Court that might also have convinced her to “hang in there in spite of the fact that she was dying?” I understand your point, and you could be correct. What makes me incredibly sad is the loss of not just an amazing Jurist, but also a Phenomenal Human Being - “Incredibly Intelligent & Wicked Smart ... and by these I mean the widest and deepest kinds of Intelligence, Compassionate, Empathetic without being “Squishy” about it, Generous, and where “Justice” was concerned - ABSOLUTE RIGID IN ALL THE WAYS THAT MATTER.

My father was an attorney and I was privileged to experience the Best of those who “Go Into the Law.” I asked him once, “Why did you go into the Law?” Without a single second’s hesitation he replied, “Because it was about Justice.” I would not get the same answer from a few too many of the those currently sitting on “Right Hand Side” of the Supreme Court.

Unpack the court first to keep them from declaring the other reforms unconstitutional. Why not 11?

the Supreme Court should be unpacked by expanded the number of justices to 11 to match the circuits. Then have cases heard by a random 9.

The Supreme Court is making sure the system the Constitution was supposed to protect us against is the system that serves its Ruling Class. And If all goes as seemingly planned, not even a vote will be able to be placed. Just look at what’s happening in Shasta County- Leonard Moty was removed by money and spite and now our voting machines have followed. Elections are no longer “free” or “fair”; we are losing our ability to be heard.

I agree completely. Every time I vote I consider the consequential effect my vote will have on the Supreme Court. As said so

Scalia admitted the Court had no honor or principles. Reportedly confided to an associate at a dinner party that they had concocted excuses like "equal protection" to elevate Bush to the Presidency and the nation should just "get over it." They ALL did it. Which is why the law is constantly in turmoil. Funny how voting procedures have never been standardized across states to ensure "equal protection" for all "votes. Or the alleged "right to privacy' only applied to women getting abortions over some arbitrary time period.

How does one make these issues relevant to the general public?

I think the Supreme should be set up to allow justices terms to for 10 years. Or maybe better yet, they should be elected by the people not by the President. Julie Carville

Of course most of them are hardcore maga republicans, and a lot were put there by trumpie. And they love the free vacations and other gifts they get. They do not care about the constitution or what the people think, and some of them do not even follow the law. What trumpie wants, he gets. Biden needs to put more justices on the court just so it makes it a little fairer. This is no longer the country I have been in my entire life. Lets make maga come true, get trump out of politics that will make America great again.

As a ordinary person 65 year old who work his entire life in manufacturing 32 years and self-employed roofer 12years. I feel cheated the court was hijacked by the senior conservative members of Congress Republicans. But I strongly feel that it will come back to bite them just like trump.i see the writing on the wall this is there last straw America is sick of people like governor dasentis .moms for liberties, donald trump,, proud boys, one percenters, I feel they are antii American

And will be the fall of the Republican party. Get rid of them replace supreme court justices appointed by trump before it's to late mark my words the Republican party will pay in 2024 because the conservative members of Congress the old white guys are teaching the young conservative how to hate instead of how to get along there is not enough just white conservative you have to win over member of all races to stay in power that's not happening so you will lose in the end and just like the foothills of Kentucky, the fly over . county where there was hatred towards minorities after a while this areas fell to disrepair please do not let this happen to the rest of America because of a few haters
