This really is a case that should not have been allowed. Kroger was making money. Another case of we are losing competition and Biden is in charge why did he not stop it.

We do not have a 'Unitary Executive' aka dictator. Legislation is written by legislators.

TheyтАЩre called executive orders and they only last as long as that executive is in power. So what you like in one four year period is gone When a new administration is elected.

True but the SEC is in charge of anti trust and that is executive branch meaning Biden. We have to stop allowing the Democrats to under perform and only blame Republicans. I know they go nuts and move us toward fascism but Democrats need to stop pandering to the rich and help us. I see Doc did not respond to him being a 1% er. So sort of pot calling the kettle black. That is the type of stuff we need to stop no matter who we vote in.

Tom, the SEC is not "in charge" of antitrust; the DOJ is. Incorrect facts lead to misunderstanding. The powers of the US president are broad, but not unlimited. With Repubs in the Senate threatening to filibuster anything that would impair control by the top 1%, getting anything passed by the Senate is more than difficult. Then the slim R majority in the House, lead by liars and lunatics, oppose healthy policies (but then take credit for them if they pass). Are the Dems perfect? No. Do they face stubborn Repub opposition determined to defend the privileges of those who fund their campaigns? Yes. Are the Dems more concerned than the R's about the well being of our country's population and our nation's future? Yes.
