Worth noting...The "Rugged individualist" Ayn Rand, in retirement, cashed every one of her Social Security checks...Every one of them.

There are days I skip your lesson. Usually it's because I am busy getting into my own "groove" and day. Thankfully, today wasn't one of those. After college, I identified as a Libertarian. Ayn Rand was an important ingredient in my coming to that thought. During the 80's I leaned into The Reagan Years. A young professional building a career in finance, it's what gave me the most "bang for my buck". As my family reached school age, The Clinton Years were upon us. Education was Number 1 for us. I would like to believe that during my 40's is when I came of age. I saw and understood and EMBRACED the principles of the Common Good. I built our families values on SERTOMA (service to man) not the organization but it's blueprint. I look back on it all and see it as my maturing. It looks natural in my review. I like to think I have grown as today I am in my 70's. My wife and I are both true Blue Backers. My children are all adults and have married and have children of their own. They are all givers and were never misled by Republican or Libertarian shiny objects. I am glad to have found my way. I am glad my children listened when I taught them to care for all and do what you can. You are a wonderful explainer of these things and I thank you for your efforts.
