I live in Biggs’ AZ CD5 district and am despondent. I will keep up the good fight but it is exhausting. Weird to live among people who voted for Biggs. So far 102,000+ to Javier Ramos’ 75,000+ I will continue to drive for democrat candidates in my legislative district. I didn’t even know what an LD was until 2016. I had many yard signs on my lawn this election: for Katie Hobbs for governor, for Adrian Fontes for secretary of state, for Javier Ramos for the US house, For my local state representative Jennifer Pawlik and senator Cindy Hands. Some of these election outcomes are not decided yet because there are still votes being counted from late early ballots turned in on the day of the election.
People like Lake and Biggs will continue to remind us that the U.S. is still a deeply troubled place. We must persevere.
