Without a doubt, this is not an" administration" unless you call it an administration of death and despair. "Regime" is a kind word for what it is now destroying our government and OUR country.
"Cry our once Beloved Country" describes how we all feel right now.
I am "gobsmacked" at how quickly what we believed was our government, our constitution and our economy has been flushed down the drain not only by an undeniably insane man but by the Christo/Fascist/Nazi capitalist traitors who are no better than those who profited from Hitler's reign. They are truly Trump's willing executioners.
Maybe not "quickly." There's the famous Paul Weyrich speech from 1980: "I don't want everyone to vote...." But before that, the festering of Jim Crow. Looming in the Zeitgeist, the threshold of majority-minority. Long-established institutions and "Think Tanks" especially the Federalists whose expertise is grooming reactionary judges. Hillsdale College and Liberty U. My Mom was sucking up Rush Limbaugh before Michael Savage before ever finding her soul-brethren on Fox TV. Mitch McConnell, singlehandedly. The Way has been long prepared. All that was needed was a TV Star, just like he said. "They'll let you do anything...."
Right on the money! And his audition was the show The Apprentice. Just like good old Ronnie Reagan. I couldn't imagine anyone worse than him when he was elected in 80. But he sure played the part of "the elder statesman' and that sold everyone. At least he'd been.a governor so he had a little insight. Bush 1 Iraq Bush 2 Afghanistan. And now tRUMP. Hey take your pick! This week it's Iran. Earlier it was Venezuela. Next it'll be Cuba. Or maybe Greenland. or how about Canada? Mexico? tRump is one royally fucked up individual. He's a oneman recking ball. Almost literally. He tears down shit with no permission or even notice! The man is full on bonafide mentally impaired AND incompetent just as a human being much less as president! As my granny used to say in her particularly accurate characterization and vernacular of such individuals in this way: "Why that man is plumb bat-shit crazy! " And I can't say as there's any more accurate description.
I think Dopey Donnie aka The Nod Father has poor old Sleepy Joe's record all beat to hell! aa no one home upstairs when he drifts off during meetings and events. Much like Obama's time out on the links that Donnie Do Little always complained about. Obama was out maybe less than a dozen times in all his 2 terms. And tRUMP? Altogether during JUST his first term we paid tRUMP to play golf At HIS own golf courses for well over 300+ days. 3 fucking hundred days of his 4 year term! He spent entire year of his 4 years on the fucking links! Holy fucking shit! He's just such an amoral, disgusting asshole! I simply can't stand to hear his voice or see him on TV so I cut my TV. I haven't watched it since Christmas and don't miss it. I get my news from reliable sources online and PBS and I increased my subscription to them. No bullshit. About the only place you can get it.Till tRUMP decides to shut it down completely because he: CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH! regardless of the fact he's already cut funding. Simply because they tell the truth.
Please keep in mind that it appears to be a one-man show, but like the apprentice, there is a huge staff and organization behind the "star" Project 2026 is the game plan and the ideologs are the editors and authors of the various sections.
Thank you Jean, all of our friends, my wife and I really adore your comment. You have spelled out this self-serving,grifting, "train wreck" from Hell regime that is literally destroying this country and all that it stands for.
Underneath all that is the EPSTEIN FILES!
I know,, you really need a book to cover all the "bat shit crazy" Little Prick has done to this country and the ordinary law abiding, hard working citizens, the disabled, the minorities, and even veterans and politicians that do not agree with or bow down to this excrement of the human species.
Jean - If you want to be even a little more incensed about T how about the fact that they are trying to get a “deal” with his own government in the IRS deal (probably because they know that the judge is going to rule against him since he is both the plaintiff and the defendant) so that the government gives him our taxpayer money to put in a fund to pay the “Americans” who claim they were hurt by their own government. This means that people like the J6ers will be eligible to be paid by us for starting a riot in the first place. I’m sure T will keep a portion for himself. All while he continues to play more golf.
It is certainly oh so tiring to rise each day and learn of increasingly horrific actions. I know we must continue calling out what we see. I know you said we mustn’t worry about your health and your strength. Thank you for your backbone and substance and sheer strength to continue fighting for our country and for human values.
"Calling out" the horrors is not enough. Unfortunately there is very little law-abiding citizens can do. That's why we vote for people to represent us. If fewer than 25% of eligible voters do vote, and as intensely as this regime tries to reduce the number who are eligible, the more members of the cult control the outcome. Our only useful action now is to GET OUT THE VOTE! Everyone reading Sec Reich's Substack must set a goal of getting at least 5 non-voters to register and get them to the polls.
Catherine - Just read a substack article about a new law taking effect on June 1st in Virginia that will help people who have certain felonies on their record be eligible to vote now. If anyone either lives in Virginia or knows anyone who does that has a felony conviction have them keep an eye out for what is now included in that law. It might help us get more people out there who can now vote.
Also curious about why Virginia doesn’t go ahead with a new map, regardless of the Virginia SC ruling, since the other states are going full steam ahead with gerrymandering? Red states are finding work arounds so I’m sure a savvy state attorney can come up with something.
Marc, when federal checks and balances against the excesses of executive power cease to function, let’s remember that our Founders afforded us one final check—decentralized government. As developments since January 2025 increasingly have tested and, yes, exceeded traditional understandings of 10th Amendment limits, in my view, we must shift our focus to states’ constitutional obligations, the limits of federal power, and how states can safeguard their residents from unlawful or extraconstitutional intervention.
Dorothy, First and foremost, I believe we as constituents need to press our Governors, State Legislators, and AGs to push back and legally say, “No, that goes too far”—and refuse to comply with federal actions that appears to violate the law or the Constitution. Additionally, seeing that multi-state action can better protect us than if we were to act individually, we must press state governments to join in consortium with other like-minded states.
While you raise a valid response, I would propose an alternative. If you recall, May Day Strong presented an opportunity for all of us to exercise the muscle we had observed in Minneapolis that drove out ICE in large part by shutting down all commerce. In the coming months, we likely will have to muster the resilience to shut it all down, so to speak, to show that the country can’t function if we the people refuse to allow it.
Catherine - That reminds me of what someone said about Tennessee…”we are a conservative state and we are going to keep it that way.” The only reason why they, and Ohio, are so conservative is because they rigged the maps to be that way. We (Ohio) used to be considered as purple but the legislature sure worked hard to change that.
Indeed, states rights. In addition, we have an opportunity to put the "check" back into Congress with our votes this November. We, as citizens who are being left behind while trump bleeds the coffers dry and ruins what's left of our reputation, must show up in huge numbers to vote out the current Congress that enables the crime spree. And it's not just the republicans who need to be replaced. There are quite a few democrats who need to be primaried out of the running. People really need to be aware of who they are voting for. It is crucial to our freedom and our lives to pay attention to who is running for office.
Celeste, While I wholeheartedly agree, let’s be mindful of the impact of Louisiana v. Callais on an already excessively gerrymandered map. In a country where barely 50 percent of eligible voters bother to vote in a midterm election, we need to get everyone to the polls and vote like their freedoms and rights depend on it because they do.
That was the plan. tRUMP kept Hitler's book Mein Kampf by his bedside and has porported to have read it from cover to cover several times yet he's never opened a Bible except the cheap ones he was trying to palm off on people. He probably thought if he signed his name innsid the cover maybe people would think he co-authored it. Well, he's gotten rid of the illegals so to speak. Guess who's next?
Jean, TRUMP IS NEXT!! It is all over the news, both in print and on NPR, that Trump wants the American people to have access to assault rifles and any and EVERY OTHER GUN manufactured because of our First Amendment "rights"! Well, to that I say, "Have at it, Trumpie . . . you're making yourself the ever expanding OPEN TARGET!" What an effing idiot!!! His Wharton School professor sure had it right when he dubbed Don-OLD the DUMBEST STUDENT HE'D EVER HAD!!!
Awful as all of that is/will be, here in deep south I actually might not refuse a sack of Claymore mines to protect this humble abode (from neighbors and relatives.)
I certainly can’t either, or any other menu at all. This ties in with Donald’s love for fast food. All he has to do is to have one of his minions get his money and bring him his order.
He may have kept Mein Kampf next to his bed and the maids may have dusted it but as for him reading it ? Seriously ? He doesn’t read. He “feels” ! And we suffer.
Let's face it Marc, as long as we are saying "Christo/Fascist/Nazi"we have to add /Zionist. It is clear in foreign policy and in domestic repression of opponents of the regime.
"You Zionists are WORSE than Nazis. Hitler destroyed the Jewish body, but you are destroying the Jewish soul." -- A Chasid, confronting a secular Zionist from a scene in Chaim Potok's novel, "The Chosen." New York City - 1947.
This is why we need to go through the Constitution with a fine-tooth comb and rewrite every article which can be ignored or corrupted. We need to make high officials subject to all the laws of the land including a POTUS who has carefully curtailed powrs - or possibly an Executive Council. We need to remove ALL presidential influence over the DOJ and Inspectors General - there need to be other mechanisms for their appointment. Same for a carefully reined-in SCOTUS. And, how about a Vote of No Confidence for Congress?
Apologies for the lengthy repost but that’s my cue. Here’s a list of planks that DNC could assign to each state for true problem-solving. Incumbents and candidates could collaborate in working labs to focus on one issue, including timelines and budgets.
I urge readers to forward the planks you support to your elected representatives, blue candidates and, most of all, DNC.
This year, it’s the platform not the person. Candidates and incumbents need to remember the words of Quincy Jones: “Check your ego at the door.” Or emigrate. Like the celebrities who got rich here but won’t stay and fight.
I asked AI to randomly assign a plank to each state. Who knew computers had a sense of humor?
1. South Dakota: Medicare for all, including mental health, dental, and vision.
2. Delaware: Running water for all.
3. Maryland: Safe, affordable, adequate housing for all.
4. Kentucky: Climate change course correction.
5. Washington: National “Annual Yearly Progress” educational standards that apply to all students: public school, private school, home school.
6. Vermont: Nutrition and pesticides. There’s a reason why US wheat imports are banned in EU.
7. Minnesota: Paths to citizenship and statehood.
8. Arkansas: Metric system instead of imperial measurements. Every country in the world has made the switch except the US, Liberia, and Myanmar.
9. Iowa: Reading and math literacy.
10. Hawaii: Maternal and infant survival (US has the worst rates among developed countries).
11. Colorado: Restore DEI. My disability requires electronic communication (email or chat with a transcript) but legal teams don’t like written records. I have to surrender agency and assign a proxy to manage a credit card issue or schedule a mammogram. Disney sent me an email stating that they’re “phones only.” What’s next? Telling guests in wheelchairs to manage the stairs?
12. New Hampshire: Zero tolerance of corruption.
13. North Carolina: Child care. Montessori is Head Start in Italy. It was invented there to lift up disadvantaged children. In the US, we’ve made it a designer brand that’s unaffordable for those who need it most and for whom it was intended.
14. Arizona: Amend the 2nd amendment. Texas has more than 4000 gun deaths per year. FL takes silver with more than 3000. Together, they’re responsible for more than 17% of the 40,000 annual gun deaths in the US. The UK has 28. Not 28,000. Not 2800. 28. Their cops are unarmed. Everyone wins.
15. Oregon: FOIA restored without the loopholes.
16. Wisconsin: Enforcement of the laws, regs and court decisions that are on the books but ignored.
24. Michigan: Livable wages in decent working conditions, ideally in a union environment.
25. Connecticut: End citizens united.
26. Montana: Inheritance reform.
27. West Virginia: Enshrine social security.
28. North Dakota: Reform SCOTUS and court system.
29. Georgia: Campaign finance reform.
30. Alaska: Tax reform.
31. New York: Criminalize “strategic deception” at all levels. The US, Russia, China, and Iran are among the only nations where law enforcement and corporations can legally deceive the public. It’s impossible to have relationships of trust. Our neighbors across the pond are appalled.
32. Ohio: Commitment to ethical conduct and “truthfulness, transparency, and accountability.” Recommitment to implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, which is the foundation of our contract law.
33. Texas: Enshrine voting rights.
34. New Jersey: Outlaw NDAs. They were meant to protect secret formulas, not silence the voices of victims.
35. Missouri: Join ICC.
36. Maine: Forgive third world debt and encourage allies to do the same.
37. Indiana: Term limits. Public service is not for accumulating power and influence, it’s for serving the people.
38. Utah: Mandatory service to by all citizens reaching 18 for two years in public works, AmeriCorp, National Guard, or other similar organization.
39. Alabama: Prison reform.
40. Virginia: Free college or vocational training.
41. Idaho: Eliminate electoral college.
42. Rhode Island: End private equity investment.
43.Pennsylvania: End tipping. It’s out of control and our global neighbors don’t do it.
44.Wyoming: Issue new SS numbers to each citizen now that ours have been compromised
45.Kansas: Animal Welfare Act. AKC breed standards require docked tails and cropped ears for some dogs. The US and Russia are among the only nations where cosmetic mutilation of dogs is legal. Global leaders Fédération Cynologique Internationale (France) and The Kennel Club (UK) preserve breed standards without these cruel practices. We can do the same.
46. New Mexico: Regulate contracts signed by—and conditions endured by—pregnancy surrogates.
47. Oklahoma: Regulate fine art industry to prevent money laundering and tax evasion
This was inevitable, imho. It happened quickly because it was never real. It was a movie set facade. I’ve been a social worker for decades working with families on the fringes. 50 years ago, disputes were resolved through communication and compromise, whether it was with a neighbor, a doctor, or a customer service department. Truthfulness, transparency, and accountability were expected as part of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing that is the basis for our contract law. At some point, without our knowledge or consent, good faith and fair dealing switched to caveat emptor. Opportunistic personal injury lawyers created a demand for one-time cash settlements and it became such standard practice that the legal teams of our hospitals and corporations worked out a settlement system with insurance companies that sidesteps corrective action through carefully crafted NDAs.
My only question is this: how many more teachable moments will it take? It’s been ten years. I’m exhausted.
With every crisis comes an opportunity and the bigger the crisis, the greater is the opportunity. Our government and its institutions are being "stripped down to the studs," as RR has stated. So, if we are left with only studs, what will we build back? When the nightmare is over, history will not only recognize us for how valiantly we have resisted but for what we have built in the wake of the Trump/Republican billionaire funded wrecking ball. Again, while the noble warriors among us, such as Robert Reich, fight against the storm and will not go quietly into the night, others among us must be the visionaries of the country and the world to come. We can do this and we will.
Out of this Crisis will come a Transition to a better more just world and an economy that can float all of our boats and not just the 1%.
"The polycrisis will deepen, and this must be faced. The near future will be challenging, expectations for the transitional times should not be sugar-coated. But the human spirit can, and will, rise to build a better world." -Ronald Logan of Crisis and Transition-
Mr. Logan has been writing about "Where are the leaders" and it has been an excellent read. I am hoping that a 'sadvipras' will stand out and help unite all of us so that we can rebuild our country on an Economic Democracy. We have learned so very much from the destruction this authoritarian has caused. It is up to all of us to rebuild our country better and beneficial to all of us.
Dear Marc, while I agree generally, I must point out that only 2/3 of your country "feels" what RR describes, and this is the critical problem. trump is the result of the problem, but get rid of him and the problem persists. The regime's supporters will get their just desserts eventually, but it will come at the hands of more competent authoritarians: Xi and Putin. I've asked this before in previous posts, but again, when are American patriots going to hit the streets and stay there?
Using the current 'remnants' is exactly what needs to be done, but with firm dedication. Decisively win the majority in the fall, and then enforce the laws and the Constitution with fervor. We have to use the current system if we wnt the power to change it for the better. That's what I tell all the young people I help register to vote who say they dissaprove of the system. Use it, and then change it, but follow the law.
In the early summer of 2026, facing rising criticism of his war in Iran, and open revolt against the regime from both republicans and democrats, the ruling class brings out the big guns. As most of you know by now, we live in a surveillance society, as are most industrialized nations. The ruling class, among them the techbroligarchs, control all means of communication. Internet, cellphone, cable, satellite. Using the power of AI-assisted algorithms run by huge server farms, a significant portion of the left wing antifa vermin are identified and denied service on any communication platform or device. Any and all independent media, progressive substacks, newsletters, subversive or critical utube channels are completely shut down. Particularly offensive traitors have their bank accounts frozen and/or drained.
The New York Times hails the new peace and serenity, cautiously asserting that the supreme court really did have our best interests at heart as we go into the midterm elections. The electorate rewards the regime for this new-found harmony and the new congress of 2027 celebrates its cohesive and unified membership. Colleges and universities across the land join in the celebration as Erika Kirk makes a triumphant fundraising tour of their campuses. Patriotic congressional leaders submit bills to fund young republican clubs in every university, which are now shed of the antifa vermin which previously poisoned the minds of our youth.
Meanwhile, the senate has been working hard on a bill to lay out the framework and infrastructure for full implementation of the 13th amendment, which specifically allows prison labor in Section 2. Those traitors previously identified by AI-assisted algorithms will now be assigned work, and if that work is done properly and competently, will be rewarded with some small food allowance. Medicare and medicaid are eliminated, as well as the overly dependent elderly which had previously presented an overwhelming and nonsustainable burden on the insurance industry. Denials of coverage were now far more timely and efficient, resulting in record profits. The market soared further with the tax relief afforded employers with the abolishment of the socialistic and universally hated social security ponzi scheme.
New government-sponsored (but not insured) bitcoin retirement accounts were created as people flocked to invest in these completely safe securities.
Marc Nevas-ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!! And I just love your phrase: “Cry our once Beloved Country”!!! AMEN to this beautiful phrase, sooo perfect and yet sooo sad for being in this awful place-this phrase is soooo truthful and sooo telling in how awful this day feels in the real world of it all. Thank you for your statement.
Crying real tears for what my beloved if never perfect country at least strived to be.
It’s true that the Republicans never had much of a desire for governing but providing entertainment that their constituent love, including lots of red meat. The Trump regime and his sicko- plants resemble a gangster organization or international crime syndicate. He picked up their mannerisms and fantasies about being Al Capone walking around the table in his board room with a baseball bat, looking to crush a few skulls.
Mike, I remember decades ago reading about the Mob and the Russian Mob, it was suggested that they may get together and do us harm. It was prescient. It would be truly GREAT if they could be the focus of a Good, solid RICO investigation. Only thing is that our entire "just ICE" system has been captured, they are in charge. There was a reason that our founders executed traitors.
Spot on, Laurie, and the Russian mob, in collusion with Putin are busy busy busy ensuring the downfall of your republic. I don't know what it's going to take to wake people up.
Dorothy King, I think people would wake up if a real remedy could be discovered, a solution to how to deal with this ever growing threat. This IS an ongoing coup. Started on Jan 6th, the criminal in chief has grabbed a lot of power and stolen from our treasury. And he continues to this day, with his lawlessness, raping and pillaging, using our arsenal and depleting what is left of our reserves. We are members of NATO, and, as such should get help to stop this crime wave. If it is not stopped, it could wash over the entire world.
Some research on the Russian mob might begin with a search of the property records in those obnoxious pencil buildings standing out of place and empty on the once glorious Manhattan skyline.
The GOP complained about Latin Americans sneaking across the border into the US. The "Great Replacement" problem isn't the wave of people from across the border, it is the wave of Latin American style governance. Although to give Banana Republics some credit, the current DC freak show is actually worse.
As HRC has recently postulated, the Republican party is now actively working to destroy democracy and the principles of one person, one vote through their aggressive gerrymandering campaign, with the help of the Alito-ites on every level of the judiciary. Open unapologetic bigotry is a sign that the pendulum has swung too far to the right for the majority of Americans to stomach.. and it is quite literally sickening.
No doubt you have to remain strong psychologically or be lucky enough to be strong psychologically to live through this era feeling anything less than terror or at least terrible.
The word is treason. If we stop imagining they want to do anything good, their behavior makes more sense. This is the pre-collapsing of American society to consolidate power in preparation for the full collapse of modern civilization.
I didn't like Clinton's use of the word "deplorables," and I don't like it any better now. How does it advance returning your country to any kind of normalcy and respect? Disagreeing is part of critical thinking; name-calling is best dealt with in the schoolyard.
Wow, sounds like our democratic form of government is presently done for. If they cheat, gerrymander and win the next election it will continue that way, and the only question will be - which other country do we move to.
We'll take you here in Canada, Richard! Seriously though, it would be a real blow to the red state contingent because I don't believe they would be able to sustain their economies without the blue states.
Canada and Mexico, close by, would be my only options probably. I am old too. I love Carney, Canada's PM and Mexico has a Woman president. That predominately Catholic country elected a Jewish Woman as their president. I have so much respect for both. In my youth I was excellent at languages and could pick up Spanish and French. Just brain storming and thinking of options. Need to do more research.
The red states don't give a crap about providing social services to their residents. There could be mass exodus from the sweltering south to the cooler blue north. I live in Texas and summer is here; 91 degrees yesterday!
I think there's a phrase that should strike a cord across the political spectrum:
Trump and the GOP are squandering America's greatness, carving up what they can for their billionaire donors.
Another:
Thanks to the #BBBbetrayal we now can clearly see that the "family values" party only values families with seven-digit bank account accounts.
And I've got plenty more where those came from because creating this kind of stuff is how I do activism and combine it a wee bit with therapy. It all turns up on my memes, as those who follow me can attest…
I have a better word, Professor. It's a malignancy, and it is spreading across this once great land. The question I can't stop asking is this: WHY HAVEN'T WE STOPPED IT'S SPREAD??? It's time to re-write the rules of the presidency, including stricter criteria to be elected.
Something must change regarding who can be elected president, or the rest of the world will never trust our country again. Even with a competent and moral US president in office, the rest of the world will wonder whether the next one elected will be another Trump.
So true Gloria. As a felon, drumpty should not have been on the ballot. Colorado tried to stop him and the supreme sycophants intervened. There are magats in charge in all 3 branches of government. Re-writing will begin on day1 November 4 if we GOTV and put the right people in charge. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Succinctly explained.. now what to do. We are living in an authoritarian dictatorship. I fear America will sink into the status of a third world country with suffering for all but the richest. How to turn this horror story around is seeming impossible. We need another George Washington.
Maybe it is because tRUMP and his entire regime has captured all the levers of power? We should have a Seal team 12. or help from NATO. We have been overrun by the MOB.
For some odd reason, the one that bothers me the most, is the Supreme Court. (I know it’s not all members of the Supreme Court. My heart does go out to the few honest Justices who have more courage than should be required to vote according to the Constitution.
It is very upsetting to see the highest Court in the land captured. The "flood the zone" tactic used is sure to overwhelm us, as there seems to be no place to get real honest justice. It is hardly odd that we can't help but be overwhelmed by this total assault, with no remedy that is apparent. God help us.
I wish this were an exaggeration. And it’s really just the tip of the iceberg. Just think about setting up policies to undermine the environment, health care, women’s rights, protection from sexual predators, education, free speech, scientific research. It’s dizzying.
It’s impossible in a Substack to write a book. Thank you Professor Reich for being a true warrior, for your continuing efforts to activate voters, protestors, resistors, legislators. It’s just grim…but keep up the fight, keep the faith.
Yes, this is a regime rather than an administration. The sad thing about democracy everywhere is that bad actors can use it to achieve power and then rapidly remove the hard won rights that have been fought for on behalf of everyone else. That it happens so quickly shows how a determined would be dictator or tyrant can use any form of government to achieve what they want, which invariably is for personal gain, using the threat of violence or imprisonment or other unashamedly abusive measures. As Trump does not behave as a president, does not respect the constitution and so on, he should not receive the pay or privileges of a president. He shouldn't mind this - as he is patently not interested in the role - he's just in it for himself.

A sad summary. I'm sorry that this Happened.
I like your thinking, Barbara, but will states be able to implement these "obligations?"
What about refusing to pay federal taxes, or sending them to blue state governments?
Dorothy,
While you raise a valid response, I would propose an alternative.
First you have to make sure your state government isn't a card-carrying member of the regime. Not an easy task in a state as red as Ohio.
This may be a solution
Just kidding! Chiquita keeps us all safe....
It was Hitler’s speeches he read, according to his late first wife Ivana. Mein Kampf would have been too much reading for him.
I can't see him reading much unless its a McD's menu!
They are depraved.
Amen
Yup.
17. Mississippi: Abortion rights enshrinement.
18. Florida: Marriage equality enshrinement.
19. California: Infrastructure investment.
20. Nevada: Internet for all.
21. Illinois: We need to stop flushing drinking-quality water. We’re running out. https://www.dw.com/en/an-answer-to-us-drought-conditions-may-be-in-the-toilet/a-76287325?maca=en-newsletter_en_bulletin-2097-xml-newsletter&at_medium=Newsletter&at_campaign=EN%20-%20Daily%20Bulletin&at_dw_language=en&at_number=20260321&r=77373842087974334&lid=3840834&pm_ln=333425
22. Tennessee: Return the Black Hills.
23. Louisiana: Reparations.
47. Oklahoma: Regulate fine art industry to prevent money laundering and tax evasion
https://naturalist.gallery/blogs/journal/understanding-the-fine-art-market-how-the-wealthy-use-art-for-tax-evasion?srsltid=AfmBOooA-CqogOHmt7Tt9eGAXu1P5NjNRGbgVrQv4dihl06QimQjVs6U
48. Nebraska: Enshrine ERA.
49. Massachusetts: Recommit to NATO and United Nations and pay overdue membership fees.
50.Unnamed other initiatives.
South Carolina: Collaborate with South Dakota
District of Columbia: Collaborate with Delaware
American Samoa: Collaborate with Maryland
Guam: Collaborate with Kentucky
Puerto Rico: Collaborate with Washington
Northern Mariana Islands: Collaborate with Vermont
US Virgin Islands: Collaborate with Minnesota
If DNC has better ideas, let’s hear them?
Let’s send postcards to all eligible voters!

We have here a criminal organization headed by the biggest conman of all time
- Karen Cooper
Where is the RICO statute when we need it?
For now.
But the human spirit can, and will, rise to build a better world." -Ronald Logan of Crisis and Transition-
https://crisistransition.substack.com/p/going-beyond-dogma-to-reach-a-new
I hope you are right, Marc.
What are we going to do in the streets?
We need to fight with the remnants of democracy that we have.
I agree, but I also think that until Americans shut down the economy, change is impossible.
Thank you for the efforts you are making.
Obviously, it has to be a priority to strengthen our institutions - if we ever regain the power to do so. But I am doubtful, honestly. Wish I weren't.
Summer blockbuster:
Oh! How horrible!
Well said 👏
Marc Nevas-ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!
JoJoK
Yes. I agree that “Regime” is not even appropriate. It is not only too kind, it lends it an ounce of class it doesn’t deserve!
This experience is emotionally, spiritually, psychologically, and fundamentally perverse..
No doubt you have to remain strong psychologically or be lucky enough to be strong psychologically to live through this era feeling anything less than terror or at least terrible.
William--It's odd the feelings I have. No hate, more in the line of anger and frustration.
Same here. One thing that I think Nixon got right is that when you hate you only destroy yourself.
William--good thinking--
The word is treason. If we stop imagining they want to do anything good, their behavior makes more sense. This is the pre-collapsing of American society to consolidate power in preparation for the full collapse of modern civilization.
Robert. He’s a putz. A grifter. A malignant narcissist. Have I left anything out?
Putins puppet.
Bidi's B1tch.
Stuart, How about a G-d m-effing SOB???
Racist thug.
Trump is a...
Bumpy, clumpy, dumpy, humpy, lumpy, frumpy, plumpy, grumpy, schlumpy, jumpy, stumpy, chumpy, thumpy, rumpy....
ASH-HOLE!
(Agreed, harsh terms for a five-year-old, but I'm tired of waffling about it. BTW, that was one side of my most recent NO KINGS sign.)
Yes. Numerous things.
A fonfer, a gonif, a nogoodnik.
"Oh, no!"
"Not the N-word!"

The only reason TRUMP is still President is because there are many DEPLORABLES just like him running our government.
Absolutely. Spot on.
I am serious, if you will take me I will go.
Richard, do you know if Canada will take seniors?
I don't know - yeah, I am pretty old, they might not want me. I know that Mexico will however, and I speak pretty good Spanish.
Either place would be better than this Nazi/Hitler re-run.
Certainly in the near term, Gloria.
Succinctly explained.. now what to do. We are living in an authoritarian dictatorship. I fear America will sink into the status of a third world country with suffering for all but the richest. How to turn this horror story around is seeming impossible. We need another George Washington.
Another FDR or Teddy Roosevelt would do the trick.
I think in our big government re-write we have to include the Supreme Court, and one appointment per term.
Why does this Trump regime continue? I do not understand.
Why do they still exist?
Because they control....
Congress
Senate
Military
White House
Supreme Court
Most white churches
Social media
News media
Every cabinet position
Broadcast media
What do Dems control?
American hearts and souls
But WE seem to have the advantage.....
I forgot...
Healthcare decisions and priorities
My guess is that Trump and his pals are in China right now selling out Taiwan.
Yep! Nailed it!!!!
