By the way, my kids and my granddaughter are stopping by on Christmas Day to exchange gifts and toast the Spirit of Christmas. I will be masked as I couldn't get a booster before January 12th. My birthday on New Years Eve will be spent quietly, home alone - the way I prefer since becoming a widow. My cat and a good book are the best company. Happy Holidays to you all! 🥳🎄🎅🕎

Best to meet them outside on your front lawn or in your back yard in the open air and if they ask why, tell them you want to see them again next year because if you let them inside, they may see you again at your funeral by Valentine's Day. This is a good time to invest in outdoor heating around your back yard for Christmas and future family get together events until you feel it is safe to be indoors again. If it is really too cold to be outside at Christmas, then invite them to your Australian "Christmas in July" party where everyone can have more fun outside and be thankful you are still with them.
