DeSantis is not using his Campaign of Hate to simply control the rights of the "others", it's to control future voters. It may work in Florida but the rest of the country is watching. They've invaded my state of SC school boards & are quietly making subtle changes.
With school & mass shootings on the rise & being blamed on mental health, WHY would DeSantis remove specific books with social emotional & inclusive teaching from the curriculum? While Texas wants to replace certified & degreed councilors with untrained in education or child psychology Clergy.
With NO Background checks!

I've retired from teaching, but SO want to jump back in with both feet!
Absolutely agree, but the current conditions in schools may lead to an increase in your mental health declining. You need to take care of yourself, and do as much as you can from the sidelines. As a former licensed mental health professional, all of these changes are not only dangerous, but are grooming our young people to hate instead of educate. Volunteer where you can make a difference. As I am facing end of life decisions with a terminal illness, I volunteer with a hospice organization. I also write my elected officials, and support worthy candidates. It may not make a difference, but it makes a difference to me.
