Office Hours: What will you do if Trump steals the 2024 election?

On Monday, I shared with you that 41 percent of pro-Trump Americans agreed with the statement that “because things have gotten so far off track, true American patriots may have to resort to violence in order to save our country.”

I also mentioned that 22 percent of independents and 13 percent of Democrats shared this view.

So today I want to present to you a not-all-that-far-fetched hypothetical.

Suppose Trump wins next November’s presidential election, in a close race. In the days immediately following, it’s reported that Trump loyalists in several swing states have prevented likely Democratic voters from submitting ballots. We also learn that election workers have been intimidated (or bribed) to submit false voter tallies in favor of Trump. It’s also reported that officials in key Republican states have rigged some of the software used to add up the votes to ensure a Trump win.

In other words, we learn that the 2024 election has been stolen by Trump and his Republican lackeys.

Trump, of course, claims otherwise. He says he won fair and square. He prepares to take over the executive branch of government on January 20.

So today’s Office Hours question is: What do you do when you discover Trump has stolen the 2024 election?
