2, 3 & 4! He needs to come down hard on Israel, for the first time! Bibi is doing the same thing tRumpy is…trying to stay in office to stay out of jail, despite all he is doing to kill as many innocents as possible! Bibi is a criminal and must be held accountable for all his crimes, even those before this war started!

No bombs, no money of any kind, no support of Israel period. Israel must declare a cease fire, release of hostages ( obviously takes Hamas) and humanitarian aide to the Palestinians in Gaza. Then we will talk. Keeping in mind that Netanyahu is a criminal trying to stay out of jail, megalomaniac like Trump, and liar who cares not one whit about Israel, peace and a two state solution must be top solutions.

Stop supporting a War Criminal.

President Biden should impose all three of the restrictions you listed starting at number 2.

First: stop providing the weapons the Israeli military forces are using to decimate Gaza and massacre Palestinian civilians and rescue workers. It is immoral and we are complicit in this. Our hands are covered in the blood of those murdered civilians and rescue workers too.

I’m not by any means one of those self righteous hypocrites spouting “It’s all Genocide Joe’s fault!” but I cannot understand why Biden hasn’t stopped arms shipments to Israel.

*Defensive* armaments for their Iron Dome, ok. But offensive aircraft and bombs that are being used to kill the civilians in Gaza?

How is that not a no brainer?

Before I declare how I believe the President, who became a Senator in 1973 and Chaired the Foreign Relations Committee and served 8 years as VP, should handle a complicated foreign policy matter, I would like to know why AIPAC has vowed to spend $100 million dollars to defeat "the squad?" What did the squad do to get AIPAC's panties in a tizzy? Perhaps in response the squad should vow to reform campaign finance laws.

Who does AIPAC think they are? AOC is loved by a strong majority of her constituency, so she is safe. But what about more competitive races with a slim majority, like Summer Lee in PA? Her swing seat is vulnerable. As I've said, only about 40 House seats are competitive. These suburban districts will largely decide the Presidency and Congress. I believe President Biden knows what he's up against more than most people.

Having explained the situation, I will defer to President Biden's unparalleled Foreign Policy experience on the matter. Moreover, I truly believe Biden wants what is best for Americans and World Peace. I also believe that President Biden possesses Intel that we do not know and cannot imagine. For these reasons, I respect whatever Biden decides to do. Joe knows a lot more than me with my several 400/500 level Poly Sci classes under my belt. It occurs to me that we should be very thankful Joe is Commander In Chief now.

I will say one more thing. Biden is not the bad guy here. Not selling weapons to Bebi is not going to stop Bebi. However, not funding Ukraine will stop Ukraine from stopping Russia. Any questions? Thank you, Mr. President!

Expounding upon this morning’s discussion of the war in Gaza, I would note, in my view, that Netanyahu will continue to defy the U.S. unless the Biden Administration ceases to provide both military aid for this war and diplomatic protection at the UN, the ICJ (International Court of Justice), and other international forums.

Additionally, while I welcome recent minor shifts (I’m not yet clear on agreements reached when Biden and Netanyahu spoke yesterday), the over-arching policy seemingly has not changed. The U.S. not only continues to fast-track massive amounts of weapons to Israel but also has not, as of this writing, sufficiently used its levers to insist aid gets in through ground routes. I understand a plane can carry 2 to 3 tons of aid while a single truck (hundreds of which are waiting at the border) can carry 20 tons each.

Frankly, I believe I would be remiss were I not to call out an Administration claiming it wants to re-establish America’s moral leadership in the world and uphold the rule of law while, at the same time, failing to support U.S. laws against providing weapons to governments that commit gross violations of human rights and that block U.S. humanitarian aid.

Whatever is necessary to stop the war crimes and unseat the Israeli dictator.

Stop saying one thing and doing another, Joe: expressing dissatisfaction at Israel’s actions and then turning around and sending more bombs and pressing Congress to approve the sale of F-15s within days. As long as Netanyahu gets what he wants - money and weapons from the U.S. - he will continue to obliterate Gaza, kill and starve out its inhabitants there and in the West Bank, and expand illegal settlements. Just pull the plug. Set conditions as an interim measure, but ultimately we owe Israel nothing after decades of unconditional support. Our continuing to arm Israel only makes us further complicit, and disgraces us in world opinion.

5. Other. Biden should, on a daily basis, incrementally transfer a percentage of U.S. funds from Israel to Palestine until Israel's Trump is out of power.

Definitely selections 2 through 4.

POTUS should have come down hard on Netanyahu months ago, but now with the murdered aide workers and the surprising strength of uncommitted voters in last week's primaries, Biden is slowly (too slowly) realizing that his uncompromising support for the Israeli Government's catastrophic war on Palestinian civilians could conceivably cost him the election and end what's left of our democracy.

Good, I read a message saying it had to be a paid member to comment but now I can. I know you all don't want to miss all of my illuminating insights. Joke. Anyway, I hear that, actually, the President is now leading in several polls albeit within the margin of error. Anyway, at this point they are way immature. I believe the disgraced former president ran primarily, if he won; to pardon himself. You hear his argument that the legal proceedings against hom are a detriment to hid campaign or designed to impede it. So obvious. Dictatorship comes second. Of course, once in office, he can enrich himself as he is obviously financially failing now. See? Aren’t you glad I am allowed to post again. Heather, I am still waiting for your juggling act. Joke.

I am one who does not like war. I understand why there is war, but I do not like it. It is my opinion that President Biden needs to absolutely stop US armaments to Israel. It is also my opinion that President Biden let Bibi know that this war has to stop. It is so inhumane to bomb and kill innocent civilians who had nothing whatsoever to do with this war!! Those aides that were killed were simply trying to feed the hungry that have been caught in the middle. Netanyahu does not care what anyone thinks because this war is what he wants in order to stay in power - that is preposterous!! I have thought about where our country is right now and I get a mental picture of this small little snowball that starts rolling downhill. As it goes, it becomes bigger and bigger until it is a giant snowball that cannot be stopped until it reaches the bottom and smashes into something and explodes. For me, right now, I see the GOP, far-right, conspiracists, mega-wealthy, corporations and monopolies were once this tiny faction (snowball) but then began to roll downhill, grow bigger, gain momentum until they have become enormous and they're grabbing everything they can as they pick up speed. It is extremely scary to think about the huge explosion that eventually will happen. We, the people, seem to have no say in what happens in our government anymore. The GOP continues to send inept conspiracists to Congress where absolutely nothing gets done! We cannot continue this way. trump and his lot has pretty much succeeded, it seems, in dividing our country between the blue and the red. So much so that I am concerned about another civil war looming on our horizon. There is only so much people can take before hostility takes over. I know for myself, I will continue to work hard sending postcards, signing petitions, and writing letters to keep our country a Democracy. I will vote Blue in November, but I can't help but wonder will it be enough?

Maintain strictly defensive support to Israel & DEMAND immediate ceasefire (from BOTH sides, but ESPECIALLY Israel who has inflicted MANY times as much damage & death to Palestinians as they have received, [not to mention stolen territory & evictions of civilians from their homes!! ] .. AND threaten sanctions if no compliance IMMEDIATELY. From Israel's appalling behaviour, anyone would think that civilian Palestians were behind the Holocaust! Absolutely disgusting sub-human stuff!! Formerly I had a lot respect & sympathy for Israel, but not a trace left now, & I rank Israel amongst any other ethnic butchering thugs of the last 50+ years.

The weapons have already been sent, and as far as Biden is concerned, the damage to his re-election chances has been done. Whatever happens now, it is too little and too late.

I still have no real idea what has motivated Biden to publicly support Netanyahu like this, despite mounting evidence of massacres and policies of ethnic cleansing. I first assumed it was conditions placed on him by wealthy Jewish backers that were funding his re-election campaign, which may still be true. Then I wondered if there was a wider issue that we were unaware of, such as the security services having info of a wider Middle East conflict to come, for which Biden was strengthening Israels defences to deter such an escalation. Which may also be true.

But then I read up more on Biden's history, and he has a record of making policy misjudgements, flip flops and mistakes, indicative to me that he has no clear underlying belief system to keep him on track.

Whatever his reasons, I think he has thrown away the next election by his actions. Many will refuse to vote for him, and many will refuse to vote at all. I think the Democratic Party should throw him under the proverbial bus and find someone else to stand against Trump. And fast.
