He is seriously mentally ill and the Republicans are protecting him at all cost.

And he’s doing to this country what’s happening to his brain.

Impeach and remove now!

Trump knows the truth. Many reliable sources have testified to it regarding many issues. Heʻs always used lies to control his base and party, and to sow doubt in as many people as possible so that he can influence them. The vacuum that exists in his supporterʻs brains is being filled with this destructive rhetoric so he can achieve his goal to stay in power in order to make as much money off of America in as many ways as possible.

He has always been warped and used the same techniques, now itʻs just getting worse on many levels. He needs to be removed to restore sanity and democracy. I donʻt care how or where, just gone

One of the rather common aspics of dementia, is that people start to believe their own lies. Little things at first and then more or less all of the time for some. Everyone is different. Some of us are lucky if we were taught such things as respect for others. These early lessons often stick with a person in their slide into dementia. They may maintain a respect for doctors and nurses, as an example. On the other hand, a person who has never been grounded like this, can become quite unhinged and very difficult to communicate with, when dementia hits. As I say it is different in each case. But there are some themes that are known. As an example, the person who tells other that they have 'royal blood' or could have played professional football to impress others, can actually believe that, when dementia hits. It takes being with the person for a lifetime to see how the change is happening.

Mike--I've read Robert's thoughts on the issue of Trump lying. I feel they spot on because I've said the same thing.

And there are seriously mentally ill republicans . To be represented by a loony tune and be proud of it??? Not mentally ill? No one would sit at a table with this freak.

The facts are that the whole group of 2025 authors are hoping we will keep our eyes on the scary gunnysack and not pay attention to every illegal crime being committed by them. No movie could get crazier.

As Dr.Reich said “ this is getting dangerous”. Every one of these evil , sniveling , pukes should be in prison for life. YOU would be if you did a 1/2000 th of what they are doing to our country. Those and 6 of the subnormal justices hanging onto OUR Supreme Court. Kick them out!!! Have some pride.

They need to be physically and totally removed, Guantanamoed or sent to Siberia, no suitcases allowed. Old or young…….El Salvador, even dropped over Iran or into the Straits…..Doesn’t matter if traitor Trump is a third grader! No more being nice to repubichairs! Traitor dildo Don is guilty of Lewd Lascivious Acts with young and older people, besides putting our whole Country into dire Straits, he deserves the Final blows to end him!!!

Mark Smucker's avatar

I think the Repubs are afraid if him. And most of the 60-70% who tell pollsters they disapprove of him are just waiting to be rid if him. I see there’s a petition to remove him from office. But I don’t think that’s going to do anything.

I’m afraid that we have to rely on our Legislative branch to develop the cahones to follow the impeachment process—or we’ll wait through 2+ more years for his removal and then those who have refused to remove him now step up to the plate to succeed him.

Krassimir Boyanov's avatar

Why most of the Republicans are afraid of him? What does he hold against them? This is very disturbing!

Louise Purfield-Coak's avatar

A Democratic Congressman, I don't remember which one, said that his Republican Colleagues have told him that they are afraid for the physical safety of their families and themselves, and afraid of the violent MAGA Base. The ones he sicced on the Capital on January6th.

As to how it happened, ,As a very few Billionaires amass more than50% of all the wealth in America through tax policies over the last 40 years, and the more recent Supreme Court Decision Called Citizens United, vast wealth have been buying Politicians especially in the Republican Party, to make inequality even worse. Where Donald Trump Comes on the political scene and tells all the angry people that "I alone can fix it!" Being the damaged person he is, and getting progressively worse, his rich buddies who have been busy over this same time period, have been buying up all the communications Companies from Television to Radio to Social Media, and newspapers, and hid the truth of his total derangement from the American People! It is referred to as sane washing. This time when he ran, he promised both no new wars, and also that he could fix the economy. A true demagogue! People maybe through wishful thinking, or still not recognizing the scam, put him back in office. There are myriad more reasons people did what they did, but the main factor was the building economic dislocation and plain greed coupled with the realization among all of us, that the American Dream was becoming almost unattainable, no matter how hard we worked or how many jobs we added to the family incomes. Here we are! The Midterms are everything. The very last time we can fix this through democratic means, without having to resort to revolt and revolution!

If you are a citizen, make sure, and double check it that you are registered to vote. Then make sure you vote! Afterwards, if your State offers a ballot tracking service, track your ballot until you are told it has been received, and counted.🗽💙

Louise Purfield-Coak's avatar

He won't live 2 more years! But he might hang on through the Midterms. That means everyone get out and vote! If he doesn't kick the bucket with a ruptured aorta soon, we need to have the right people in Congress to Impeach! We need Progressives with Balls!

Doris Buchmann's avatar

We need to remove all of dildo don’s bank accounts, he is insane and unsavory, our country must take his bank accounts away from him, he does no real work for America at all! Unemploy him immediately!!

Krassimir Boyanov's avatar

I was in Eastern Europe to visit family recently and most of the people there were asking me how did we elect such bad politician as a president.

Belinda Cole's avatar

He needs to be removed by any means necessary

Kathleen Weber's avatar

If you add the words, “short of violence,” I can agree with your comment.

Ella Vader's avatar

Yes because any sort of violence will make him stronger and anything else will make him a martyr.

Danielle Church's avatar

Yes, exactly correct—and moreover, we lose our chance to undo a lot of his harms. America does not tarnish the legacy of a dead man, and thus, he must be alive and well when we tear down what he has built if we're to stand any chance to gather the political will necessary.

David Skoglund's avatar

How can congressional Republicans allow this to go on? They will live in disgrace for the rest of their miserable lives.

Danielle Church's avatar

I don't disagree, but it's also the case that they have no other choice that isn't political suicide. The Republican Party as an organization has such strong influence over their legislators that breaking ranks could mean sacrificing one's own future. I have never been a legislator (a fact for which I am constantly thankful), so I have no personal experience with whatever kind of pressure they would need to overcome to speak up on this sort of thing, I'm only certain it must be overwhelming.

Azrael Arynn K's avatar

This assumes that they have no choice but to be Republicans. If they had (or listened to their) consciences, they could choose to jump off the burning tRump/Republican ship and begin to act human. Caring for others. Caring about the people. Find themselves. Even—heavens!—become Democrats.

But this requires admitting that they were wrong—and most people will do practically anything to avoid that admission. Nothing but their own fear/ego/fragility is requiring that they remain Republicans.

Danielle Church's avatar

Oh, for sure! That would be a form of political suicide, though (in addition to the surely terrifying damage to their fragile ego), as they wouldn't be able to retain their seat as an independent, not with a Republican's voting record, and the Democrats wouldn't accept them. It's like vendor lock-in, but for political parties instead of cellphone plans.

A handful of spineless, shameless Republicans are holding 630 million people hostage. What the f#$k is WRONG with them?

Mary Baine Campbell's avatar

Who are the other 320 million he’s holding hostage?

J. Nol's avatar

thanks for the laugh. Perhaps the whole world, although that adds up to many more than 320. The population of the US is just shy of 342 million.

Mary Baine Campbell's avatar

Is that why the traffic is so much worse?

Kathleen,he’s a fucking”Nazi” more dangerous than Hitler.

Sandy S's avatar

Yes, I noticed when he said that to Kristen Welker, too. That did sound a little woowoo! I think he used to imply things like this for his MAGA followers. But that sounded different.

Carol A Harriger's avatar

Oh- he knows he’s lying!

Paul Hill's avatar

It’s all so surreal. At least half of all of leading news stories from traditional media outlets report Trump’s latest antics as if nothing has changed. Absolutely insane social media posts are reported as if they were serious policy statements. What is keeping him afloat? In another time he would have been tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.

Madeleine H's avatar

Agree- he must be removed or resign. Mentally deranged is my take on the situation!

Jim Jarvis's avatar

He is psychologically incapable of resigning.

To resign would require introspection...and he's incapable of that, as well.

James H. Rubin's avatar

I completely agree. Who is going to stand up for the only rational solution? Any Republicans?

Philip Miller's avatar

I don't need to hear all these warnings. He is worse. He better. He's mentally incapacitated. He is still here causing worldwide havoc and trauma. Tell me when he's gone! He even jinxed the NY Nicks.

Cindy Dore's avatar

Agree 100%. I don’t care how, just get him the hell out!

Celia Diamond's avatar

You're right, of course, Dr Reich. And he will never be impeached, much less convicted, by this Congress. I guess it helps to keep saying the important truth, even so.

Gari Gold Richardson's avatar

I’m convinced. Let’s go!

richard winkler's avatar

I cannot agree more Robert. He cannot remain as president any longer. He must be removed now - but how?

Martin Mayland's avatar

Nothing will happen until after the mid-terms and substantial victories by non-Republicans.

Marianne L's avatar

I hope it’s sooner.

Martin Mayland's avatar

Me too. But Trump gets removed and is replaced by JD Vance. Is that progress?

Paula Jacobson's avatar

Vance does not have the cult beholden to him. trump has to go!!!!

Martin Mayland's avatar

That would please me. Here's a question. Our form of government has evolved to place too much power in the hands of one man. Apparently, prior to this, we have depended on the personal integrity of our top leaders. Suppose we had something like a triumvirate? That would be three people at the top who might have a better chance at keeping each other from doing stupid things. Like launching a war based on personal whims or seduction by a foreign leader.
