In WW2 the USA was divided (though it tried to give some help to Britain with the 'lend-lease' program) till the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour in 1941. What will be the equivalent of the Zimmerman telegram or Pearl Harbour that would unite America against the internal threat of fascism, given that the divisions are such that even a criminal conviction against Trump hasn't made much difference to the status quo? The only one I can think of is conclusive proof of Trump being a traitor and selling the country out e.g. to the Russians. I know that comedians have joked about it, but I'm talking about evidence strong enough to convict in a court of law.
