Just want to say you have very talented folks creating music for you-I enjoyed listening to them all. It tells me that they, like me, are energized by your truth telling and clarity regarding the events of these past years. Because of your clear and concise explanations, I understand some things far better, including Reagan’s democracy-crushing “trickle-down” policies. I couldn’t be more grateful to you. Thank you for all you do!

I chose #9, Country Shuffle, because I thought it was distinctive and would unmistakably signal that it's time for coffee klatch. Michael Hoppe's Nocturne in Blue had me in tears (for reasons other than the news) and I'd like to hear more of his music. What a talented bunch of composers! Incidentally, if you're able to get on the NYTimes site, there's a wonderful film about a woman composer whose career was interrupted by the war in the former Yugoslavia. In the film, she returns to Sarajevo and plays her composition on her old abandoned piano.

Music is, and has always been, a stress reliever and spirit lifter... and incidentally, it's the last link in the brain to go... I play music shows for seniors.... it's amazing to watch them "come to life" when they hear, and even sing along to some of their favorites.... and rewarding for me too, a win win.

My favorites are
#9. Country Shuffle by Richard Swetman
#4. Saturday Coffee Klatch by Deirdre Broderick
I prefer them because they are relaxed, short, and not too frantic or "newsy." A coffee klatch is a brief, relaxing get-together with friends to discuss the day's events, and these two convey that we're in for that kind of experience.

I like #4 the best. There's some very talented composers/singers/song writers listening to Coffee Klatsch! Thank you for giving reason, truth, sanity, wisdom a (now musically enhanced) voice. In this wilderness.

I agree entirely with Jen, as 2nd by Janet
Absolutely love Nocturne in Blue.
Gotta throw an obligatory "me too" on the pile ("simply amazing!" - but perhaps more appropriate for a once-in-a-lifetime event, e.g. wedding?)...
PS: Well done Michael Hoppé!
Yes! Well done Michael Hoppe
Me too but not for an intro.
It’s an amazing composition. I loved it too.
#4. Saturday Coffee Klatch by Deirdre Broderick sounds perfect to me! Just the right length for an intro/outro and sets the right tone for your show.
Gets my vote too
I like Cool Beans. There is a lot of talent in that lick!
Agreed; short, sweet, and instrumental!

Luv to see that!
I like the first one, Cool Beans, the best -- so many good ones to choose from!
I think #4 is the best fit for your smart, self-deprecating brand of humor. And #7 and #1 in second and third place.
Love your comment. Kinda like the apple for the teacher 🤣. Kidding of course

I'm impressed by all of the talent displayed here! I vote for Cool Beans.
I preferred #1 as a theme song, but also agree that Nocturne in Blue was a lovely piece of music that deserves to be heard widely
I second everything you’ve said here.
Loved Nocturne in Blue. I could drink anything listening to it.
We need even more submissions please!

Deirdre Broderick comes closest to the spirit of the pod cast in my opinion – but so much talent! Well done everyone.
Haven’t heard about Dwight Stone in years and discovered his music on the Saturday Coffee Klatch…small world.
