tRump doesn't consider any transaction to be successful (for him) unless it can be summarized by the words 'I win, you lose'.This is bullying, plain and simple and likely so he can pocket bribes for exemptions. tRump is setting the United States back 100 years.

I agree, except for your sentence: "tRump is setting the United States back 100 years."

America has NEVER been in this kind of a hole before. This is completely uncharted territory matched only by tyrants like Hitler and Stalin.

The last sentence (#10) says it all: dictatorship! So when will Donny cancel mid-term elections and start throwing average citizens who protest into concentration camps? It won’t be long...

The world is watching. We become a dictatorship, we get kicked out of NATO, which makes us vulnerable to attacks from his good buddy Russia, China, and Iran. I'm surprised Iran hasn't made a move. Being in Saudi Arabia this weekend may put him in the crosshairs.

Add Mussolini and Pinochet. Mussolini owned newspapers and knew how to manipulate them. Trump does the same. His left hand takes up all the oxygen, while his right is doing sly stuff.

Stephen, the problem, all of those actions of Trump and Kump are illegal. Why have they not been arrested. Trump may not be able to be due to our Johnny Roberts and crew, but the rest could be. Unfortunately, we have no independent law enforcement to do the job. Maybe the state police should step in since it is criminal behavior against the states and the American people at all levels.

The firing of federal workforce all seems to be illegal.

Maybe people should not leave their job.

EOs that are illegal or unconstitutional will immediately be counter with lawsuits.

People affected by these EOs should stay put until the courts decide.

Bret, the problem is that so many of the federal workers are in offices with locks and IDs which will not permit them entrance. We need Congress to grow up and start acting like the adults they are supposed to be and start intervening on behalf of government employees and the rest of us. The problem, many of the Republicans in Congress believe in the BS that Trump and his handlers and fans are peddling. It is disgraceful, but even doctors voted for RFK,Jr. a former druggie and total incompetent living off his dad's name to run Health and Human Services and veterans or family members of veterans voted for Hegseth, a drunkard, sexual harasser and incompetent to run Dept. of Defense. It is truly despicable when we can't even count on Congress to stop fascism because so many of the Republicans in charge are all in for it, thinking they will get to run the concentration camps and harm as many of us as they can, particularly those who are not rich, white, and male.

So much that Trump has done has been illegal and unconstitutional, and where are the consequences? I completely agree that arrest and imprisonment are warranted, but who is to exact these consequences? Why is Congress allowing Trump to usurp its duties and responsibilities under the Constitution? There is no courage or sanity left in our country.

Not all of congress, mostly the GOP, especially the House. Johnson has pulled every dirty trick to prevent anti- trump legislation from coming to the floor for a vote.

The senate dems with the help of 4 Republicans passed a Bill that would stop or curtail the president's tariffs, especially declaring there is no economic emergency.

Just need to be passed by the house but Johnson stopped it.

Johnson is a true piece of shit.

Bret, you know someone is a chunk of crap when he declares an entire congressional session one day. How anyone in the House thought that was a good idea shows that Republicans en masse are nuts and lapdogs for their leaders/owners. It is sad that even some Democrats have decided this is OK. In reality, everyone else's reality, a day has 24 hours of 60 minutes in length and each minute 60seconds, etc. Little Mikey Johnson thinks he is so clever, but in reality he is just evil! And, he claims to be christian; who knows what he really is besides evil!

No doubt, the Republicans vision of America is no longer consistent with democracy.

This is what the Olycharts want. A country lead by CEO by a board of CEOs. The Republicans are their lapdogs.

In short the GOP is just fine with retiring the consituation and replacing it with Authoritarian/Fascist government. The GOP politicians and their supporters think they will be far better off.

So how are the average midfle class MAGA voter base not seeing this?

Surly only the most shit for brains MAGA could think they would also be better off.

Stephen, your comment is very similar to what my sisters and I have said. None of us wants to live in a fascist society where the only things that matter are rich white, maybe straight, pseudo-christian men. Those can be the biggest blowhards on earth and have been for centuries. They have few ideas and little empathy, believing they got where they are through their brilliance; they haven't, but who will tell them? It's time we older folks step up and tell the scared white kids they don't have to follow an idiot scared lying Cheeto or his minions, in fact, they don't have to be one of his minions at all. We, my sisters and I are going to be out on Saturday, rain and all to tell people this nation matters and not just for the rich white etc. men and the wannabees, but for all of us in all our diversity.

Some good quotations in the following concerning the tariffs:

Interesting in the previous is that Popok affirms in more concise language what I've been saying for months and months: What the Oval Office felon is calling socialism is just "modified capitalism." Make sure you cram that into the frothing mouth of any flying monkey screaming "socialism" at you.

A timely little thought from an apparently Chinese poet concerning China appropriate to those suffering from FAFO for voting to bring this all on themselves. Try going into the search block by the start menu - if using windows - and type in "snipping tool." If you find it, click on it. It's pretty straight forward, but it should have a little blue question mark at the lower right you can click on to bring up instructions. Basically, you click the "New" button at the upper left corner, your cursor turns into a crosshair you can drag across what you want to copy. Just release the mouse button when you've selected what you want to copy and it will pull what your copy into another window where you can save it. You may have to fiddle with it a bit until you catch on to how it works, but you will catch on. Good luck!

For those of you who are goofed off because to your perception, the Democrats are doing nothing. Maybe you just haven't heard about it much in the media:

The pathetic media are all soooo scared of the toddler pool they just can't manage to actually report the news, give the facts about tariffs, describe what Musk, an non-elected fool is doing to the people of this country, and the rest. I don't know what they think is going to happen to them, get kicked off the air? No one wants to watch the non-news that the mainstream media is pumping out because it is not honest and Fox Not Nearly News is completely swamped with cruel wannabees who want to take down anyone they can, caring nothing for even their own children's future.
