Our government has to remain functionally agnostic. Favoritism for one religion is discrimination on all the others. Dennis Praguer who has gone off the conservative deep end had a good book called Think a second time (he should practice what he preaches). What he describes in there is that there are things that are generally considered immoral and other things that one religion would consider immoral but the group does not. Something that a religion considers immoral but not the group should be considered unholy but not immoral. Government should be based on what we altogether consider immoral, NOT what some consider unholy. In thay way we can have consensis amoungst agnostics, catholics, judaism, muslims, evangelicals.l, etc.
Whomever. Just because one religion is batsh*t crazy doesnt mean we have to adapt what it considers unholy as law.
