The evangelicals have demonstrated to the world, beyond all shadow of any doubt, that they've freely "sold their souls to the devil" to get into "heaven," and have now set themselves up as models of godly righteousness ostracizing "sinners" and decrying "corruption!" That's how they fatten their collection plates and are a'gettin' into "heaven." (They say god helps he who helps himself. They're "a'helpin' themselves," alright!) Mitch mentions P.T.
