Skip tracing-- Congress has allocated some $30,000,000,000 to "13" private companies, to help ICE in an effort known as "Skip Tracing." This is how Trump and his MAGA jerks find "so called" illegal aliens in this country, and I was under the impression that ICE had their own eyes. What the hell is wrong with this picture? We have people living in a starvation mode in America and the Republican congress gives out $30 billion to jerks spying on our own people so ICE can deport them. We have some 47.9 million people in our country who exist in what Trump refers to as a "Food Insecurity Situation." Growing up we simply called it starvation, and the Republican congress gives out $30 billion to people so they can do the job Bovino and Neom were supposed to be controlling. Someone's pockets are getting lined, and Trump wants to rid us of governmental fraud. Trump's entire administration is a fraudulent joke.

I am more than disgusted, more than enraged, more than ready to detonate. There really are no words to describe the feelings I have about what is happening around me. My children live in Maine. One works at a school for handicapped children, half of whom are now not attending school because they fear their children will be abducted. Many of the families are from Somalia. A country whose people have already been traumatized by this type of terror. My children are now living in terror. Portland Maine is under seize. The pressure is depressing and devastating. It's like ICE is covid....no one coming out of their homes-too afraid. We have a very diseased and sick country. But we the people are the doctors. And we are the ones who have the medicine to cure. AND that medicine is love and compassion for each other.

One thing I would've loved to say to that NH dude is STEW. Sorry That Everything's Worse-all the while playing the Hives "I Told You So".

I am in Maine and it is terrifying. They are here because Trump hates our governor who has had the strength to stand up to him, not unlike the other strong Governors of states he has also targeted! He is going after innocent, hard working, wonderful people, all because of Steven Miller. The people who came here to make a better life for their families. This is disgusting what is happening to our country and I will keep resisting this horrible regime and pray that we will get our country back.

Unfortunately, the Big, Bad, Ugly Bill that was passed last summer sets up a fund of $160billion which can be used for ICE. Imagine how many immigration judges, lawyers and magistrates could be employed to give people their "due process" using that money.

We can get back our country. What’s happening in Minneapolis with the murder of innocent American citizens by armed and masked ICE agents in the streets is the direct result of a weak and corrupt political and legal system that failed to enforce the federal law on the insurrection being led by Trump which began on January 6, 2021, and has continued as planned by Project 2025 to continue in 2025 and 2026. The insurrection has caused extreme suffering in America by implementing a fascist lawless autocracy that rejects the Constitution, supports wealth inequality, refuses to enforce the laws in America, suppresses the truth with political lying, and destroys democracy.

The genesis of the insurrection occurred with the 1971 Powell memo in America that launched a massively organized and funded campaign by oligarchs, wealthy corporations, Republicans, and Christian nationalists. The campaign attacked President FDR’s New Deal in the 1940s that recovered from the Great Depression of 1929 and won WW2 with Allies to stop the global spread of fascism and protect democracy. The campaign directly led to the insurrection led by Trump and his administration with felony criminal support by Republicans in Congress and six justices on the Supreme Court. The news media are complicit in supporting the insurrection by supporting ignorance and lying by Trump, his administration, and Republicans.

Trump’s presidency and the disaster in Minneapolis is the result of the federal government’s failure to enforce the law against insurrection. The insurrection is a criminal felony according to the federal law on insurrection, 18 U.S. Code § 2383 which states “whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the united states.”

Trump is an insurrectionist who violated the federal law by supporting the insurrection of January 6, 2021, and the Supreme Court also violated the federal law on insurrection by supporting Trump, the insurrectionist, in 2024 with the refusal to enforce section 3 of the 14th Amendment which would have blocked Trump from holding office again. Trump’s actions since losing the election in 2020 made him a criminal violator of the federal law on insurrection, 18 U.S. Code § 2383.

But in 2026, not only Trump, members of his Cabinet, Republicans in Congress, and six justices on the Supreme Court are criminal insurrectionists. Thousands of politically appointed or employed people in the federal government including ICE agents are also criminal insurrectionists.

America can recover from insurrection and injustice as happened with President Lincoln’s leadership to win the Civil War, which ended the Confederate insurrection, and to create Constitutional Amendments. Ratified between 1865 and 1870, the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution that ended slavery and ensured birthright citizenship as well as due process and “equal protection of the laws” under the federal and state governments. Democracy further improved in the 20th Century when women were granted voting rights with the 19th Amendment in 1920. President FDR’s leadership, progressive policies, and bold decisive actions in the 1940s led to global peace and prosperity with justice and shared wealth for the working class. President FDR’s leadership with the New Deal and fair taxes that funded government support including Social Security was based on Keysian economics which is the opposite of Republican President Reagan’s supply-side economics and tax cuts for the wealthy. President LBJ’s leadership continued government support with Medicare/Medicaid, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights of 1965.

Assuming Democrats win elections in 2026 and 2028 to take control of the federal government including the House, Senate and presidency, the future of America with affordability and protection of democracy will depend on Democrats enforcing the federal law against insurrectionists which must include indictment, arrest, prosecution, conviction, and imprisonment of all insurrectionists.

Without Democrats enforcing the federal law against insurrectionists, Democrats will not be able to enact legislation to restore fair taxes on the wealthy to fund solutions to affordability including housing and healthcare, eliminate political corruption in the DOJ, HHS, DHS, and other Cabinet level departments in the federal government, end Citizen’s United to properly control funding and transparency of political campaigning, restore abortion and other healthcare rights, protect voting rights, and protect democracy by preventing convicted insurrectionists as criminal felons from voting or holding office.

Democratic change rarely announces itself. It unfolds slowly, through incremental and seemingly manageable steps that are difficult to assess in real time, especially by those who are part of the system itself. The real risk does not lie in sudden collapse, but in gradual adaptation; when the political center erodes, volatility moves from the margins to the core, and what once looked like dismissible noise of extreme outputs becomes structural materiality.

Markets Zoom, I agree with you in general, but because of the volatility of Trump and his MAGA following, we might be faced with a speeded up process. In that scenario we must have our vision of how an improved government should function.

Victor's avatar

An improved form of government can only start once the traitors who control it now are booted out of government. There is still a slight chance that Senate Republicans will muster the courage to act.

Marc Nevas's avatar

Victor, you are correct. The tide against Trump is beginning to build and according to an informal poll about 30% of the people who voted for Trump are opposed to the way he is handling immigration and ICE enforcement. Heather Cox Richardson said what infuriates her is that it would only take 12 Republicans to stop what is happening now. I find that an interesting statistic. I always appreciate the way that she can give us clear focus.

ICE's corporate enablers are profiting from murder. Amazon. AT&T. Citizens Bank. Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the database, known as Investigative Case Management (ICM), that ICE uses to target and deport immigrants. AWS also hosts a massive surveillance system for ICE’s parent agency, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The $6 billion system, known as Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology System (HART), is designed to hold “personal and biometric data on over 270 million people, including 6.7 million iris scans and 1.1 billion face images.”

AT&T pitched FirstNet, its specialized network for first responders, to the federal government, touting its ability to use “photographs, real-time audio/video feeds, and databases from other state, local, or Federal agencies… to aid in the identification… of undocumented immigrants.”

Citizens Financial Group, which operates Citizens Bank, has continued to provide financing for private prison construction. In July 2025, Citizens provided a $450 million revolving credit line to GEO Group. Earlier, in March 2025, Citizens underwrote $500 million in bonds for CoreCivic.

Republicans in Congress have given Trump the financial means to create his personal brand of state capitalism. This inevitably leads to crony capitalism and massive corruption. Many businesses will be left out, and we must appeal for their support of constitutional government, as envisioned by the Founders.

Margaret Ann King's avatar

When we hopefully get through this I hope there is a Nuremberg like trial for these people to hold them all accountable. I also hope we stay awake and engaged and clean up the detention centers removing private companies and allow constant monitoring.

Pamela's avatar

That is why I admire Pritzker so much. He has assembled a group of retired judges to document all of these crimes so that once this group is out, we will have the evidence to prosecute them. They are knowledgeable in terms of what evidence would be required and so forth. Very smart.

Margaret Ann King's avatar

One more thing. Once we get to the other side, I am going to hold myself more accountable to stay engaged. It was during Biden's administration that he forced an airport near me to allow these deportation flights. Prior to that, the airport would not allow it. I won't get complacent again. There will be much clean up to do and many politicians will want to forget it and move on. We can't let them or ourselves do that.

Maybe they learned it from Noem. It took two shots for her to kill the family goat, just after killing puppy Cricket. We know this from her book. It’s relevant because, in adults, a history of animal cruelty is associated with antisocial personality disorder (APD), psychopathy, and other mental health disorders characterized by violating the rights of others. Reportedly, the goat chased children, butted them, and smelled bad. Shooting a goat just for being a goat sounds like animal cruelty to me. “Noem decided to kill the unnamed goat the same way she had just killed Cricket the dog. But though she “dragged him to a gravel pit”, the goat jumped as she shot and therefore survived the wound. Noem says she went back to her truck, retrieved another shell, then “hurried back to the gravel pit and put him down”. At that point, Noem writes, she realized a construction crew had watched her kill both animals. The startled workers swiftly got back to work, she writes, only for a school bus to arrive and drop off Noem’s children.“Kennedy looked around confused,” Noem writes of her daughter, who asked: “Hey, where’s Cricket?” Stephen Colbert deadpanned…”speaking for everybody who’s ever been around goats…if those traits meet the legal definition of ‘dangerous, a threat, or injurious to life, limb, or property,’ killing any goat would always be legally justified.” All of this looks like a straight line to Alex Pretti, where a US citizen with a concealed-carry permit had his firearm confiscated before being shot to death. https://southdakotasearchlight.com/2024/05/02/noems-dog-killing-was-bad-but-consider-the-goat/. https://sdlegislature.gov/Statutes/40-1-1.

Repulsion---

In life there are always the exceptions to the norm. As far as humans go, most of ours are either in some form of a hospital, or they have found comfort in a cushy prison existence. However, dwelling among our ranks we can find the fringe offenders. These sociopaths linger on the edges of our reality, desperately trying to blend in with our world. Most house deep social resentments derived from bad experiences they were forced to deal with at some point during their childhood. Insecurities flow through their veins in a non-stop manner. As they progress through life the notes they take get stored away for future reference. A few of these forlorn individuals end up in prominent positions where power acts as a catalyst which feeds into social situations putting lives at risk. These people will defend what it is they've obtained at all costs, and lying constitutes the glue that holds their worlds together. They are little more than human worms, who leave a trail of sludge in their wake. Greg Bovino and Kristy Noem are perfect examples of how deranged some of us can become.

Gwen Rondeel's avatar

Betsy Groth's avatar

Louise Purfield-Coak's avatar

Donald, you have so eloquently described this problem and situation. I would add the man at the top to your list. I think we have evolved into this dangerous situation in this Country, because as a Society we have gone from picking our candidates by loyalty to Party, instead of like I was taught years ago to put integrity and Character first, which should happen at the Primary Election stage. So few Americans even bother to vote in the Primaries anymore that only deeply partisan people like myself choose. Speaking for myself, I make it a habit to get a deep bio on the candidates before I choose, but do the younger primary voters? With all the other things to fix, when we get out of this nightmare, We need to make Civics linked to consequences learned from history more major in our schools. Children don't just need to know how to code, but they need to be taught the Constitution, The bad parts of American History so mistakes aren't repeated. Also what's right and moral

uRNangel423's avatar

Thank you Prof Reich for sharing your thoughts today, I agree that civics needs to be reinstated in education curriculum, our society should have the ability to determine who and what the candidates stand for, their principles, and history. Too many voters look only at the party affiliation instead of looking into the candidates background, their values and policies. Without a basic knowledge of civics and American history, the younger generations have limited abilities to determine who the candidates are. New candidates should be mandated by election boards to post what issues they are going to pursue if elected, their moral values, family history. Laws need to be passed to rid the big super pac donations, and limit the amount of money individuals and only individuals can donate to a candidate! This would make elections more accessible for all candidates instead of the millionaires and billionaires to run for office. Term limits need to established into law restricting “life long residency” in the political system, and cut the “life benefits” of Congress and Supreme Court members upon retirement. As you stated Professor, We are at a tipping point once again in our American history, and it’s up to We, the People to stop this madness and move forward!

Pamela's avatar

Haven't you noticed that many of them fit the profile? Yes, birds of a feather, DO flock together. We need to get this flock OUT.

Why is there so much hatred for our immigrants?

This question lies at the heart of our country's disorder. In the last 75 years some 80 million immigrants have entered this country by either our East or our Western coasts. This is in addition to the people who have crossed our Southern border on foot. We don't seem to mind the coastal entries so why the dislike for those who come here via their feet. Our country began its journey on the backs of immigrants, the blisters on their time worn hands laid the foundation of the country the world looked to for answers, until just recently. Every pair of eyes you look into during the efforts of the day, came from immigrants. During the Biden administration some 11 million souls entered this country by walking through hell, to look for a dream their lives had been so cruelly deprived of. What makes them so different from the people who arrived here on ships? People are people, if you look for differences what you will find are only skin deep. Every human soul currently residing in this country deserves to stay here. Efforts to purge the criminal elements from our midst are noteworthy and have a purpose. However, the Trump administration wallows in hatred stemming from our population's inherent insecurities and social prejudices. Being "white doesn't make you right" when it comes to who deserves to live within this country. People turn their backs on the fundamentals surrounding the concept of religion. If God does exist, what would he or she think of the mess we have created over the concept of equality. Sodom and Gomorrah represent examples of what can happen to a society that has lost its way. Lookin back to our beginning, as a species we still have a "Lot" to learn.

The speaker was an adult male in his 60's, well spoke, intelligent and very knowledgeable concerning the difficulty of the subject matter. His name is Jeh Johnson, an American lawyer and former government official who most notably served as the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security from 2013 to 2017. He has held several high-level positions across both the public and private sectors. This well versed individual was a breath of fresh air. The whole government is riddled with sadistic , greedy, heartless, soulless , selfish people with absolutely no moral compass. They are causing terror and suffering to the American people. Except of course billionaires. They are causing us to be an international pariah.

My Senators, Murphy and Blumenthal are not supine, but they are exceptions. Schumer is any absolute disaster. All we get is useless words.

The American people, especially in Minneapolis , are risking death, beatings, blindness, kidnapping ever day.

And Congress does NOTHING. It is their job to figure out how to deliver us from this hell, and they aren’t doing it.

Victor's avatar

"They," Betsy, are Republicans. It is not quite true that they are doing nothing. They just passed a bill that gives Trump all the money he wants.

Robert Reich, just face the jury and answer the question: Do you support the federal government - whether it's a Republican admin or Democrat admin - locating, arresting, detaining and deporting undocumented immigrants?

This is the real immigration problem inside the Democratic Party THAT'S NOT GOING AWAY.

Anti-immigrant Democrats such as Amy Klobuchar and Barack Obama support locating, arresting, detaining and deporting undocumented immigrants; whereas young Democrats OPPOSE locating, arresting, detaining and deporting undocumented immigrants.

You can ignore this party fact and issue until you can no longer ignore it.

For years the Democratic Party promised voters and undocumented immigrants a viable pathway to citizenship decades ago and have failed to codify a viable pathway to citizenship, while anti-immigrant establishment Democrats built immigrant prisons, detained children and families in such prisons and deported undocumented immigrants.

Do you support locating, arresting, detaining and deporting undocumented immigrants?

I OPPOSE locating, arresting, detaining and deporting undocumented immigrants.

The Democratic Party has not had the power to do anything, legislatively, for almost 20 years now. The last time they did; 2009, the year they passed the ACA. What, exactly, do you expect them to do?

US Blues's avatar

Not true. Dems had all three branches of gov for a short time when Biden was elected.

Why on earth did they not address voting rights first, I’ll never know. My guess is that they wanted to believe trump was gone forever and the threat had passed. Dems did try to get an immigration bill passed but it contained a lot of ugliness. It didn’t matter because trump told the GOP not to vote for it so he and Miller could do what they’re doing now. These issues are connected: voting rights and immigration crackdowns. Trump and co know that if there are free and fair elections later this year, most of the GOP will lose their jobs and some will and should face criminal charges. Trump will do whatever it takes to stay out of jail including sending more paramilitary forces to blue states. Same with Netanyahu. The world will be a much better place without those two war criminals.

Again, please educate yourself on how legislation gets passed. Bye bye now.

It doesn't appear to me that you understand how legislation gets passed. You could not be more wrong about Biden's presidency if you tried. One country (no longer united) suffering through what can be labelled a perpetually 'bad marriage'.

-The "aware/woke" (dems/progressives/social values)

versus

-The "regressives" (republicans/magas/greedy corporations).

Republicans don't want meaningful dialogue or change. Rather, they've now sunk to the lowest depths of depravity, embracing willful blindness to rampant corporate malfeasance, violence, social injustice, lawlessness, and a perverse allegiance to a demented criminal mob boss. Worst of all, they've openly embraced the tenets of fascism.

Gingbos's avatar

You're part of the problem with the Democratic Party. You ignore truth, reality and history like a Republican. You're factually incorrect, devoid of responsibility and shamelessly display deliberate indifference towards this issue.

The ACA is and remains wholly insufficient and was Obama's attack on what We The People should have, which is singlepayer healthcare, Medicare For All.

You must be a moderate or conservative Democrat who suffers Obama brainwashing about FOR-PROFIT healthcare.

Many people DIE because the ACA does NOT cover ALL medicine and treatments as singlepayer healthcare would cover.

"Affordable healthcare" is the buzzword FOR-PROFIT corporate healthcare company executives love to hear coming out of the mouths of Democrats.

You barked up the wrong tree this morning.

Have a lovely day.

btw, stop comparing the ACA to no Republican healthcare because at the end of your life, you may need those "unaffordable medicines and treatments" Obama's ACA will not cover. Dial 1-800- DEAD-PATIENTS.

Alex Petti was on that street with his cellphone because he felt he had the responsibility to witness and document the unspeakable cruelty and lawlessness of the Trump regime. He may be the reason we regain a functional democracy, something that has been in serious doubt for many people, including me. His killing was so fully documented and witnessed that it cannot be twisted into the unrecognizable narrative attempted by the regime to make him a criminal and his killing justified. It will finally be their undoing after so much damage, suffering and death around the world. Itʻs a great relief that so many have had their eyes opened to what the regime is after an excruciating, horrifying year. Iʻm just deeply sorry we lost Alex in the process

- Karen Cooper

Lori Corbet Mann's avatar

I hear you, Karen. Alex Pretti did what so many people talk about but far fewer actually do: he showed up, he witnessed, and he recorded the truth when the regime relies on fear and confusion. That matters, because it makes it harder for those in charge to lie their way out of what happened.

I hate that the cost was his life. But I’m grateful his courage was seen and documented in a way that makes it much harder for the regime to rewrite what happened. If anything good can come from this, it’s that maybe the truth has a chance to hold, and his courage and his life can still shape what comes next.

I’m holding his name with respect, and I’m holding Minneapolis, and everyone who’s grieving Alex in the Light. Together, we can and we will push back the darkness that is engulfing America.

If we stick together as one nation with immigrants and one peace-loving people around this planet even these dreams can come true.

Robert's avatar

„restore Ukraine to its rightful territory while removing Putin from the world stage”

How, exactly?

Before the Donald restoration, the US was actively inviting invaders in. And now the UK, a big chunk of whose history includes deterring/repelling serious wannabe invaders such as Adolf, Napoleon, the Dutch (when they ruled the waves and Nieuw Amsterdam), and the Armada, can’t even repel a cross-Channel invasion of small unarmed boats. And as for the EUSSR Stasireich as a whole ….

Why is „restoring Ukraine to its rightful territory” a bigger priority than our/your own borders?

I must say, out of the darkest days and saddest of news recently, I DO feel a shift toward the light. Here's hoping it becomes an all-out blaze to consume the horror of this administration!

Lori Corbet Mann's avatar

When the state leans into darkness, it’s trying to teach us a lesson: keep your head down, don’t ask questions, don’t help, don’t witness. Minneapolis is teaching the world a different lesson: we see you, we’ll help you, and we’ll tell the truth.

That’s what light looks like in real life. It looks like neighbours acting like neighbours. It looks like people protecting the vulnerable, sharing food, giving lifts, standing watch outside a mosque, recording what happens, and refusing to let the state's lies become the official story. Living in Zimbabwe under Mugabe, that’s how we pushed back.

That’s the light versus the dark in plain terms. The dark relies on fear and silence; the light is truth plus people refusing to leave each other behind.

Christy Shaver's avatar

Lori, yes. This reads as a roadmap, not just a reflection. When institutions move toward fear and silence, the response is collective visibility, mutual aid, and documentation. Neighbors protect neighbors. Truth is recorded and shared. People refuse to disappear.

That is how power is countered in real time, not by waiting for permission, but by acting together and making care and truth unavoidable.

Lori Corbet Mann's avatar

Dear Professor Reich,

We are the Resistance! Our People's Project 2026 (PP2026) covers all the bases for a successful movement! It's a simple three step plan devised to destroy the demonic tRump regime, his rogue ICE huntsmen, and the evil oligarchs that control them all. We implore you to please review PP2026 and if you believe it has merit - endorse it and get our rallying crys into every home across the globe!

This movement started with calls for action from people like you, honorable politicians, educators, journalists, etc. with historical knowledge telling us that - We the People when united - are the only ones with the economic power to bring down the tRump regime.

We have heard YOUR calls, we are doing as you asked, we are rising, thousands of us have taken up the torch and we are building the resistance and organizing national/international movements everywhere. ALL of our resistance efforts have failed to bring down the Demonic Destructor of Democracy and remove him from office.

Why is this happening you may ask? Because WE HAVE NO VOICE! We have no KNOWN influential leaders to help us spread the word about our movements. Most of us are everyday citizens, many of us are seniors. We don't have huge media platforms and millions of followers. We don't have money for marketing, nor corporate sponsors to establish our legitimacy.

Who's being complicit now? We heard you. YOUR calls for action have been answered, NOW YOU MUST HEAR OURS! You have had a lifetime to build your esteemed reputation. We are unknown and our words don't carry the trust and respect that yours do. We desperately need your voice to validate our national movements, boycotts, protest rallies, economic disruptions, etc.! You should repeatablely be using your huge media platforms and asking your many followers to support these potentially international mass events and movements. Americans need your trustworthy endorsements to believe that this is a legitimate strategy to battle the fascist regime from hell.

Above all, we need someone like you, telling the millions of totally unaware Americans that we have already lost our democracy and civil rights. We need you to help educate and spread the word about what needs to be done to end the terror coming out of our White House. We need someone to tell them that we are fighting for our freedom, democracy, civil rights and the future of our children. We need someone to tell them we must demand better wages, affordable medical, child, elder care, housing and education for all. We need righteous individuals with integrity telling them that these movements are legitimate, that we should all be supporting them! Tell them that you will stand with them and be the heroic activist we need you to be right now!

PEOPLE’S PROJECT 2026 (PP2026) is an evolving International Peaceful Movement developed to defeat the demonic tRump regime, his rogue ICE huntsmen, and the evil oligarchs that control them all. ALL SUCCESSFUL MOVEMENTS REQUIRE SOME DEGREE OF SACRIFICE! PP2026 is a mild but powerful form of resistance which requires small sacrifices when compared to loss of life and destruction due to impending ICE raids, national/global threats by the rogue tRump regime and from countries who are defending themselves from the USA.

WAR IS IMMINENT! The tRump threats to incite the Insurrection Act could lead to Civil War in the USA. His insane demands, violent actions and threats directed at other countries including former allies are leading us towards WWIII. They are already planning to automatically draft our kids. This time a world war could bring bombs to American soil! If the American Führer wants war, we should give him a Revolution (keep it peaceful). Americans deserve a change! Screw the Democrats and especially the fascist renegade calling themselves Republicans, they betray us every time they take money from the oligarchs in exchange for votes. Support the Progressives!

While the tRump is planning mass destruction, murdering citizens, criminalizing peaceful protesters, brutalizing law abiding families, destroying communities, kidnapping babies, stripping out civil rights, and terrorizing civilians - We the People of the USA are awakening but must always remain peaceful! We are the Resistance now! Only die hard MAGA cult member remain in the dark. No one is coming to rescue us YET and that's a good thing because we don't want some other country to start dropping bombs on us like we did to end the evil Dick Traitor in Germany!

PP2026 requires three vital steps for everyone to follow daily - plus many more easy options so everyone, regardless of income, age or ability, can find multiple ways for their families to support the resistance. We are calling on Citizens from around the World to join us in supporting the PP2026’s movement to end the demonic regime. The tRump's tariffs and threats hurt them too. Universal solidarity strengthens the Anti-tRump / Bankrupt the Oligarchs Resistance!

PP2026'S DAILY THREE VITAL STEPS:

STEP 1) Spread the Word

STEP 2) Stop All Unnecessary Spending

STEP 3) Be Kind

We must REMAIN PEACEFUL ALWAYS - START THE PP2026 STEPS NOW - DON'T STOP until:

~ The Regime Falls

~ We Strip the Oligarchs of their Power and END CITIZENS UNITED

~ We save our Democracy

~ Reclaim our Civil Rights

~ Build a new Progressives Government

WE CAN NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN! Take the lead. Are you with us? If so get the details about People's Project 2026 here:

Great line Robert, and one worthy of a hashtag: #MassRevulsion.

As one familiar with overstepping boundaries...I can relate to the New Hampshire gentleman's need to share his revelation. The betrayal is beginning to hit MAGA on all fronts:

-blatant lies that are gaslight proof

-soaring cost with not one spec done about them

-the 2nd amendment hypocrisy in MN

-the promise to end wars dies in Venezuela and Greenland

-the runaway spending on ICE operations and detention facilities

-the choice to inflict as much cruelty as possible on religious families is starting to hit home to those with brown skinned neighbors

-and Donald is looking more and more like a dimwit, embarrassing America amongst our former allies

The dots are starting to get so close together that many within MAGA will be unable to prevent them from connecting.

And when that sense of betrayal spreads throughout the bar, revulsion can't be far away.

Sean Tyson's avatar

So many outrageous acts have been perpetrated by this administration in the past year and the pace with which they are occurring seems to be accelerating. However, while it has taken a long time to stir the American people, I agree that it is finally happening. I cannot properly express how much I admire the people of Minneapolis for their response to all that has occurred in their city, and the growing nationwide anger to the acts of this administration and all who support it. I believe this violence could be on its way to other blue states and our cities, and we need to organize and prepare to do oppose local actions just as the people of Minneapolis have done in their city.

I don't know where things are going from here, but I am hopeful that we will ultimately be successful in opposing this regime's agenda. Moreover, I am hopeful that more Americans now understand that we can no longer passively watch our representatives act as if it's business as usual in Congress. That time is long past, and we need to take responsibility for correcting the wrongs in our system and in ensuring this can never happen again.

William Drapkin's avatar

All terrible, of course,” he said, shaking his head. “But what really finished me were the lies '

And there in a nutshell is the truth about Trump and the Project 2025 brigade.

Their aims for society in the US and indeed globally can only be sustained by a vast edifice of lies upon lies.

It's there in full view. It's the reason why the Bannon doctrine of 'flood the zone with shit' is central to the alt-right plan.

For once, the MAGA lie machine failed. They tried to play the blame game by traducing the memory of the poor man who was summarily executed by an ICE death squad, but in the end the evidence was overwhelming and they have been humiliated and forced to row back.

But of course the question remains: how many have to die in plain sight until Trump and his ruthless backers are driven out of American political life and a semblance of democracy is restored?

The fact is that MAGA has now achieved the status of a religious cult, and cult members rarely change their minds in the face of overwhelming evidence.

Jonni's avatar

You are right about how difficult it is for cult members to change their minds but in this case we only have to rely on the 2nd amendment paranoia about the government. The murder of Alex Pretti has triggered that 2nd Amendment MAGA subset and they are not changing their minds. The MAGA coalition is shattering.
