I hope it is resumed before midterms. The democrats are already at a disadvantage and walking uphill. We still have massive voter supression and installation of loyalist election officials to contend with.

And saying trump CHOSE NOT TO ACT makes it pretty simple to realize he’s a TRAITOR to the max! We CAN take the Senate--if people VOTE (even though it has been made harder--GOP’s last resort!)! So, if you aren’t doing SOMETHING--talking to people, posting on social media, calling, writing letters for candidates--you aren’t helping us now--the most important election of our lives‼️ If we at least get a true majority in the Senate in November--we CAN CHANGE THINGS‼️ Especially w/voting rights--the most crucial thing in a country! With the Supreme Court’s recent, radical decisions on Roe/Wade & the EPA (we’ve been telling everyone about Climate Change for over 50 YEARS)-- the Progressive Dems have a lot going for them--esp against trump/Qanon crazy candidates ‼️

We MUST stop complaining we CAN’T & say we CAN--& then, DO IT--TOGETHER ‼️ I won’t give up until Bernie does & I’ve followed him for DECADES--ONWARD‼️

I agree. It's been a ray of light in dark times. They are dignified and purposeful. I'm grateful to the witnesses who came forward and to the staff who do a lot of the legwork and interviews behind the scenes.

I’d stopped watching hearings until the J6C; instead I relied on recaps from people like Mr Reich and other news groups I follow.
Hearings had turned into farce and were disgusting to watch, with republicans trying so hard to disparage any decent person attempting to testify, and they repeatedly made asses of themselves.
I decided to watch these hearings because of the importance of what they were covering; and I figured because Democrats were leading it with the only two sane republicans on the Hill, it would at least be civil and informative. The Committee has surpassed my expectations on every level, and often left my jaw dropped.
I am extremely grateful to them for the hard work and dedication they’ve given to finding out exactly what led to January 6th and what happened that day, in great detail.
I was so very glad to hear they are reconvening in September and will likely have more hearings. It’s important that people hear these details leading right up to the November election. I believe so, anyway.

The Select Committee did a truly extraordinary job! Each session with a lucid and sharp focus, a theme presented with the utmost rigor. And the sessions built on one another, gathering the facts into a compelling narrative. And Liz Cheney rose to the occasion with eloquence and powerful argument.
Apparently she's losing in Wyoming, although she towered over her opponents in the debates in integrity, knowledge & wisdom. Wyoming is the most extreme right of any state & apparently, as a staunch conservative, she is too moderate & not fascist enough for that state.
However, I doubt that she is done politically. Not at all!
I also hope Kinzinger isn't done, either. I am very impressed with how he has conducted the hearings, his arguments, integrity, courage, moral leadership.
What a remarkable job the January 6 Committee has done in finding the truth! Without them, we would never have known what really happened on Jan. 6. It is encouraging that at least two Republicans, Cheney and Kinzinger are brave enough to find and report the truth!
They can't: It would be too much cognitive dissonance. They are faithfully committed to the Cult of Trump, God's congregation on Earth; those opposed are satanic, full of lies.
Granted, it takes a strong adult with integrity and high self-esteem to admit that he was wrong. We are not dealing with such people as that in this matter. There they stand; they can do no other.
Very good summary of the work and ethics of the Jan 6th Select Committee! It is the most important and inspiring body that I have ever had the pleasure to hear! My faith in America received an infusion of needed hope and an appreciation for what our Founders attempted to do. Freedom is worth keeping, apparently, our Democratic Republic. They demonstrated that fact, IMHO.

The Committee is working through August in order to prepare the next 3 hearings beginning in Sept.
