Why is inequality widening?
No simple answer, but you might find useful this free viewing of our film "Inequality for All"
Widening inequality of income, wealth, and political power is at the core of many of our nation’s problems. Why is it happening? In my view, the three biggest causes are the decline of labor unions, the monopolization of large swaths of the economy, and the growing political power of moneyed interests to alter the rules of the economic system in their favor (and against everyone else).
The talented director Jake Kornbluth and I created a documentary called “Inequality for All” that explores this in detail. It’s won a lot of awards and been shown in thousands of classrooms across the country. If you’d like to watch it, here’s a free link:
Edit: If that link doesn’t work, I’ve learned that European viewers can access the film at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry20-e5SBmE&ab_channel=ThePremiumChannel

Thank you for your long-enduring, long-suffering activism and due diligence for our flawed democracy.
I started watching this but will need to finish later. I’m excited about going to your class today and it is always uplifting to see so many young people being asked to think. There are always a million excuses and blame games from the republicans but all they need to do is study other countries to see how their line of thinking fails.
