Professor… I read this and something in me broke wide open man

Because every line you laid down reminds me of the truth we keep trying to forget:

A lie can wear a medal, but it can’t make peace.

Trump renames a building, and calls it glory.

He courts dictators, and calls it diplomacy.

He drops bombs, and calls it stability.

But a lie can wear a medal, but it can’t make peace.

Alfred Nobel wrote that the prize belongs to those who lessen armies, lift nations, and honor the human family.

This man has done none of that.

He’s turned our pain into a campaign video and our allies into bargaining chips.

But a lie can wear a medal, but it can’t make peace.

Peace is the work of the brave, the honest, the self-sacrificing…

and no matter how many damn buildings he renames, he cannot counterfeit that truth.

I sure hope the Oslo Committee for the Nobel Peace Prize is reading Professor Reich’s column. Indeed Trump is the anthesis of Peace and good will. He, Netanyahu, Putin are the axis of Evil.
