I and my husband will non violently protest on June 14, along with millions and millions of others. At our age, it’s about all we can do. We live in a blue state, so…. Also, I can’t fault people who work for being careful about protesting, it’s scary everywhere. So discouraging about the loss of any real journalism. Very sad.

He is proof of intelligent humans with compassion and empathy. You on the other hand are evidence of humans that want to believe make believe, not because there is any evidence it is real, but because it gives you comfort in exchange for your critical thinking ability.
I am honored to have marched with Rev. Barber over a decade ago, during more than one event, when I served as an advocate for "Democracy Now," in Raleigh, NC. We were fighting for voters' rights. This was even before he began Moral Mondays. And I stood in the gallery of NC's legislative chamber, where I watched him escorted out by guards for disruption. Barber, to me, is a real American hero. He's on the top of my list for 'men I deeply respect'.
We need to follow in William Barber's footsteps to save our society from ruin that's even pulling down the morale of our allies. Resilience will get us through this scourge of tyranny, with unity among us--there must be no 'other'.
