One of the reasons that moneyed interests succeed in exploiting white anger is because those same rich guys and corporations have used media and political populism to deflect that anger away from themselves. Harris and Walz are right to propose policies that explicitly benefit those who are angry - that will do some good. But the next step, most importantly, is to get people to see that the real exploiters are the new oligarchs, the new robber barons!

Which is why every time I hear the words "I'm a proud Reaganite" I want to throw up. They never say, "I'm a proud Nixonite," but it's really the same thing.
