Donald Trump is spending most of this week, and much of the coming month or two, in a Manhattan courtroom facing criminal charges. He claims he’s being politically persecuted and is acting the part of a martyr. He wants the public to see a courageous individual versus a corrupt deep state.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden is spending much of the week in Pennsylvania, advocating for a tax hike on the rich and for strengthening unions. Then he’s back in Washington, trying to deal with the escalating conflicts in the Middle East. Biden has worked hard from the start of his presidency (recall his dangerous journey into Ukraine), and his workload appears to be intensifying.
Which is the media covering? The Trump trial, of course. It is as if Biden doesn’t exist.
